The both of you glue on shiny stars to your birthday card. He picks it up and smiles.

"Happy Birthday, Y/N." He gives you a toothy grin, embracing you in a hug. The teacher claps her hands, asking everyone to sit down. Hoseok skips behind you as you sit in your tiny, plastic seat.

"As you all know, it's a very special girl's birthday! Y/N, come on up here."

You furiously shake your head no, shutting your eyes. The teacher places her hand on your shoulder, giving you a warm smile that she hopes will bring you confidence. You aren't that easy to persuade. You hold your place, pouting as she continues to ask you to step up. Hoseok laughs, grabbing your hand.

"Come on, I'll go up with you." The thought of you up there with your best friend brings a smile to your face as you grip his hand and walk up to the front. The class erupts into squeaky and completely out of tune singing but you only focus on the sweet sound of Hoseok.

Definitely one of the best birthdays you've had with him.
