6. THE BADDER PART OF THE DAY

Gaya nga ng inaasahan ni Maymay ay tinambakan ito ni Edward ng sangkatutak na trabaho.

Lunch time na ng muling lumabas si Edward sa opisina nito.

'Dale can you make sure that the power point presentation for tomorrow's meeting is well prepared and in my inbox by 2PM? And can you also check if Mr. Mata is available for a meeting by tomorrow? If not then, well, make sure he is. Can you also see with finance if the budget for 'The Sanctuary is approved?' Sunod sunod nitong sabi kay Maymay habang ang isa naman ay isinusulat ang lahat ng sinasabi ng amo.

'Oh and by the way, Call The Lounge for me and make sure I get a VIP table. Make an arrangement of some sort!' Dagdag pa nito.

'With all due respect, Mr. Barber. I am only one person and...'

"It wasn't a request.' Putol ni Edward sa sinasabi ni Maymay.

'That's what happens when you come in late for work when you are expected to be here a lot earlier. That will be all, Miss Entrata," he continued, while gazing at her for a moment as if he is seeing her for the first time.

'Oh and by the way, fetch me some lunch from the sushi bar and get me a decent cup of coffee. The coffee from the pantry tastes so bad.' Halos masuka suka si Edward sa naalalang lasa ng kape na ginawa kanina.

Napairap na lamang si Maymay habang pigil na pigil at nagngingitngit sa inis. 'That's where I get your coffee every morning fyi, nakadepende kasi yung lasa sa ugali ng nagtitimpla!' Bulong nito sa sarili.

'Are you saying something?' Sita ni Edward sa kanya.

'Nothing! Just reminding myself on how much I love my life!.' Binigyan ni Maymay si Edward ng pinaka pekeng ngiti.

'By the way which of all these you would want me to do first?' Tanong ni Maymay.

'ME.' Binigyan ni Edward si Maymay ng nakakalokong ngiti.

'WHAAAAT? DO, YOU? NEVER!' Singhal naman ni Maymay dito.

'What are you talking about?! Tanong ni Edward.

'What I meant is my food, for me. Do that for me first.' Dugtong nito.

'I Can't believe the thoughts you are having Miss Entrata. So inaappropriate in a workplace. Tsk tsk.' Ngingisi ngisi itong pumasok pabalik sa opisina nito.

'Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Magkapigsa ka sana sa noo! Tutal marami naman dyang pwesto!' Sigaw ni Maymay sa nakasarang pinto ng amo.

'What a mean girl!'

Napalingon si Maymay sa pinanggalingan ng boses.

'You would be too if you are sitting in here.' Sagot naman ni Maymay.

'Lunch?' Alok ng kaibigan sa dalaga.

'Can't! My pig of a boss is punishing me with so much workload for being late today!' Pagsusumbong ni Maymay sa kaibigan.

'I don't think I will have any time to eat for today, probable even fot tomorrow and the day after!' Dugtong nito.

'Hay nako. Kung ako araw araw nakaupo sa upuan mo ipagpapasalamat ko pa kahit gaano kadaming trabaho ibigay nang boss mo sa akin. Araw araw ko lang siyang makausap at makita!' Sagot naman nito.
