47. THE LONGING

Nang dahil sa pagka-busy ni Edward sa trabaho ay halos mawalan na sila ng time ni Maymay para sa isa't - isa.

Not because they were not together, they were. Wherever Edward went, Maymay goes with him. She's his assistant after all.

But both of them are too caught up on their job that they extend too much time in the office and when they both finish whatever it is they were doing, they were both exhausted.

Maymay would think that Edward would be pushy everytime she says she's tired and would just want to go home but he wasn't. He would just let her go after long hours from the office and the sweetest thing that would happen to them in a day was a peck in the lips.

Nothing more. Nothing less.

Maymay feels sad everytime he sees Edward. He looks tired. He looks as if he haven't gotten much sleep. With only 2 weeks that passed by, he already lost weight.

So she settled herself outside of his office and busied herself in checking every finances that might help Edward get to the bottom of the issue. That's the least she can do.

Nang matapos ang araw ay nagpaalam na siya kay Edward na uuwi na samantalang ang binata naman ay nagpaiwang muli sa opisina.

Ilang araw na itong ginagawa ng binata at nag-aalala na talaga siya para dito pero wala naman siyang magawa. Alam niyang importante ang SFI para kay Edward.

Kinawayan lamang siya nito at hindi na nag abalang tumayo sa kinauupuan para ihatid man lang siya sa parking o dampian man lang ng halik ang labi niya.

A few hours after she got home, she received a text from Edward.

Nagtatampo man sa hindi pag halik ni Edward sa kanya bago umuwi ay hindi nito natiis na hindi replyan ang binata.

Kahit inaantok na si Maymay ay pilit niyang nilalabanan ito para lamang makasigurado na uuwi ang nobyo sa bahay nito.

Nalungkot si Maymay lalo sa nabasa.

Hindi na siya nag reply pa kay Edward dahil sa inis niya dito.
