Sunod sunod na doorbell ang nagpabalikwas kay Laura sa higaan.

'Daddy!!! Open the door please.' Utos ni Laura sa asawa na kasalukuyang nakayakap sa kanya.

'Who could that be knocking this late.' Pupungas pungas namang tumayo si Luis sa higaan.

He was just in his boxers and he grabbed a robe on his way out of their room.

Halos isang mata lamang ang nakadilat ng pagbuksan ni Luis ng pintuan kung sino man ang kumakatok.

'Bro! What are you doing here this late. Laura is already asleep.' Gulat na napabukas si Luis ng isa pang mata.

'It's not my sister who I need to talk to.' Hihingal hingal pang sagot ni Edward.

'I need to talk to you.'

'Me? Why me?' Takang tanong naman ni Luis.

'I need your help bro. But first, would you let me in please?'

'Oh yeah. Sorry sorry!' At ibinukas naman ng malaki ni Luis ang pintuan.

Dire diretso si Edward sa sala.

'Okay. Whatever this is about, just wait.' Ani ni Luis sa bayaw. 'I need to have coffee first.'

'Make that two please.' Sagot naman ni Edward.

Umalis si Luis para makagawa ng kape at bumalik ng may dalawang tasang dala dala.

'Here you go.' Iniabot ni Luis ang tasa ng kape sa binata.

'So what is this about that you came running here this late.' Tumingin ito sa wall clock bago nagsalitang muli. 'I mean this early.' Since it's already 3 in the morning.

'It's Dale.' Tipid naman na sagot ni Edward.

'Dale? When did you ever need help because of Dale?' Nagtataka namang tanong ni Luis.

'Exactly!' Sagot naman ni Edward.

'I never needed help because of Dale. Not even because of anyone at all. But I don't know what to do! I don't even know what's happening.' Halata sa mukha ng binata ang pagkabalisa.

'Hey calm down.' Tinapik ni Luis ang balikat ng binata. 'Tell me about it.'

Ikwinento naman ni Edward ang mga pangyayari kay Luis but of course he let the steamy details out of the way. He doesn't need to know that.

'I started seeing her on a different light.' Pagpapatuloy ni Edward.

'Last time, Mom asked me to make sure Dale is available Friday so she can go out with Tanner and that made me really furious.'

'And you know what? I ended up staking outside her town house earlier. I even called her and I made a fool out of myself after letting her know I was just outside and then I couldn't say a thing when she asked me why.' Nanlalaki pa ang mga matang pagkkwento ni Edward. He was really full on emotions when he told Luis everything and he was surprised when at the end of everything he told him.

He ended up laughing.

'Why are you laughing?!' Nangigigil na tanong ni Edward sa lalaki.

'Just wait. Let me enjoy this first.' Ani naman ni Luis habang patuloy pa din ang pagtawa.

'Enjoy what?'

'All this! You, asking for help about a girl!' Patuloy pa din ang pagtawa nito.

'Oh jeez! It was a mistake going here.' Tatayo na sana si Edward para umalik ng pigilan ito ni Luis.
