95. TIED

Edward held my hand as we both walk on the way to the front.

His Mom and Dad met as in front.

'Nak. Sigurado ka na ba talaga? Pwede pa kita itakas?!' Bulong ni Mommy Cathy kay Maymay and that did not escape Edwards senses.

'So sorry Mom. She's stuck with me. There's really nothing you can do about it.' Sagot nito sa ina.

'Then we are the happiest.' Sagot naman nito habang nakangiti per halatang pinipigilan nito ang maluha.

'C'mere.' Daddy Kevin asked Maymay to come closer and he hugged her with all his might.

'You don't know how thankful we are because of you. You really are our angel.' Saka nito hinalikan sa pisngi si Maymay.

'Are we done here?' Sarkastikong tanong ni Edward.

'Saglit lang anak nagmomoment pa kami ng Daddy mo eh.' Sabi ng ina kay Edward.

'I know. Pero pwede pong pakisamahan ng kaunting bilis?! I can't wait to marry this gir.' Sabi nito saka mariing tumiin kay Maymay.

'I know the feeling, only it was the other way around back then. Your Mom was the impatient one.' Saka sila sabay sabay na nagtawanan.

Makatapos ang habilinan ng mga magulang ni Edward ay tumuloy na ang dalawa sa altar.

Edward was just caressing Maymay's hand the whole ceremony at pinipisil nito ang kamay ng mapapangasawa sa tuwing nakikita niya itong naluluha.

Maymay felt ever word pf the verse during the homily and when she looked at Edward's way, she can see that he does too.

Edward has a really good sense when it comes to Maymay. When he felt that she was looking at him, he looked back too. Edward mouthed the word 'i love you.' To her and she felt it. She felt it even if it was not voiced out.

After the priest adressed the couple, both of them were asked to stand up to exchanged their vows.

Maymay thought it's gonna be a traditional vow but she was taken aback when the priest did not officiate the lines they have to follow.

Then Edward started to blow a few puffs of air to release some nerves.

'Dale. My Dale. My Mary Dale.' Panimula nito na ikinagulat ni Maymay. She didn't expect Edward to prepare a vow that day and if she only knew she could have prepared something too. Napatingin si Maymay sa baba sa hiya dahil hindi man lang siya nakapaghanda ng sasabihin kay Edward.

'Hey hey. Look at me.' Itinaas ni Edward ang baba niya para maituon niya ang tingin dito.

'From the moment you first walked in on my office on that yellow dress, you've surprised me.'

'You've distracted me and yes, you captivated me and challenged me in a way that no other human being ever has.'

'I mean, to the exception of my Mom of course.' Saka ito tumingin sa ina at nakita itong tumawa kasabay ng lahat.

'Babe, I have fallen in love with you again and again. Countless times, without any reservation.'

'Oh God, I can't believe I am marrying my worst enemy today.' Dahilan para mahampas siya ni Maymay sa balikat ng bahagya.
