96. SWEET ESCAPE

'Oh picture!! Picture!!' Mama Lorna shouted.

'Love last na to ha. I'm gonna take you home after this.' He whispered. He already looks tired with his coat off and a few buttons loose.

'Yes please. Pagod na din ako.' Maymay rested her head on Edward's chest while everyone around them gathers for the said picture. Edward couldn't help buy pity his wife and so he planted a kiss on her forehead.

'Oh dito pa. Dito pa.' Mama Lorna called out again.

'Ma. Wait lang po. My wife needs to pee.' Edward excused themselves.

'Ah ganun ba? Oh sige sige. Bilisan ninyo at magpa-party party na.'

Edward immediately grabbed Maymay's hand and walked away. He called Nonong to bring the car out front so they can leave the soonest.

Another moment spent with his in law and his Mom would make him crazy.

'Haaaay! Finally!' Nagpakawala si Maymay ng isang malalim na hinga.

'Yes. Finally! I can have you all to myself!' Sabi naman ni Edward habang inaayos ang sarili sa driver's seat. Pinababa nito si Nonong pagkahatid ng sasakyan sa kanila.

'Me too. I didn't know that my mom will be a momzilla.' Sabi ni Maymay.

'Right. Isama mo pa nanay ko na kulang na lang itakas ka. Yun ata ang gusto magpakasal sayo eh.' Naiinis na sabi ni Edward na ikinatawa naman ni Maymay.

'Grabe ka! Pati talaga Mommy mo pagseselosan mo.'

'Yup! No exceptions! Anyone who threatened to take your attention away from mine.'

'Ako ang kinakabahan tuloy para sa kambal sa mga ganyang statement mo Edward.'

'You should be!' Edward confirmed.

'Edward! Seriously!?! Pati talaga sa mga anak mo?!'

'Bakit?! Nauna naman ako maging baby mo ah!'

'That's not the point.'

'Fine! I'm willing to share half of my time with them!'

'Grabe ka! You're unbelievable.' Napasapo nalamang si Maymay sa mukha.

'What?! I'm being generous here.'

'Ewan ko sayo. Bilisan mo nang magmaneho at gusto ko na magpahinga.' Masungit na sagot ni Maymay.

'Sige na Love. Rest ka na muna while I drive. You need to regain strength. You have a performance to make later.'

'Performance?!'

'Yup! Have to make up for the lost nights.' Nakangising sabi nito.

Natawa si Maymay sa asawa. 'Ibang klase ka talaga. Buntis ako Edward ipapaalala ko lang sayo.'

'So what? No sex?!' Nanlalaki ang matang tanong nito.

'Anong no sex?! I didn't say that.' Sabi ni Maymay. 'Ikaw ang may performance na gagawin, hindi ako is what I mean.'

'Ohhhh. Right!' Tatango tangong sagot ni Edward. Bahagya itong kinabahan dahil akala niya ay tatanggihan siya ni Maymay.

'So what kind of performance you wanna see tonight?! You want me to dance on a pole? Strip dancing? Tell me.'

Nang hindi sumagot si Maymay ay nilingon niya ito at nakitang nakahilig na ang ulo nito sa bintana.

Tumigil muna si Edward upang kunin ang unan sa likuran saka inilagay sa leeg ni Maymay. He doesn't want her wife to suffer from stiff neck after the ride.
