Like what Edward suggested, Maymay texted Tanner and asked if they could meet which Tanner agreed to immediately.

Maymay was a bit nervousfor what reaction would Tanner have but it's now or never. He needed to know. There is a part in her that feels a bit guilty for somehow using Tanner to get away from Edward. She really thinks she could like him. Who wouldn't. It's just that her emotions for Edward is way way much more than that crush he has on Tanner.

Edward drove the car to the restaurant where they will meet up Tanner. Tanner doesn't know that Edward will be coming with her. She doesn't want him to be thinking too far ahead. She needed to explain herself as well.

When they got to the restaurant, Edward had a hard time finding a parking space.

'Love, you go ahead.'

'You sure?'

'Yeah. I don't want you too walk too far. Baka malayo makita kong parking space.'

'Okay. I'll meet you inside.' Sabi naman nito.

Maymay went down from the car and walked towards the restaurant's entrance and she immediately spotted Tanner waiting on the outside.

'Hey.' He greeted her and kissed her cheek.

'Uhm. Hello. Kanina ka pa?' Tanong nito.

'No. I just got here. From what I heard is that you were never late so I waited for you here.' Nakangiti pang sabi nito.

'Yeah. I don't like anyone waiting for me.' Sabi nito.

'Well. You are worth the wait anyway so I don't mind.' He gave her his most charming smile. 'Shall we?' Tanong nito at ini-offer pa ang kanang braso kay Maymay.

'Su-sure.' Lumingon muna si Maymay sa likod to check if Edward is already on his way but she can't see him yet.

Pagbukas ng pinto ng restaurant ay agad silang tinanong.

'Table for 2 sir?' Tanong ng waitress.

'Yes. For 2.' Medyo nakunot pa ang noo ni Tanner sa tanong ng waiter dahil dalawa lang naman sila ni Maymay.

'Uhm. Sorry. For 3 please.' Maymay interrupted which made Tanner a bit surprised. 'May kasama ako.' Paliwanag niya dito.

Tanner did not get the chance to ask her who is she with as the waiter already guided them through their table.

Maymay sat across from Tanner and she really feels nervous and shy at the same time.

'So who are you with?' He asked her casually while browsing though the menu even if he already has an idea in mind who could it be.

'Ahhh. Ehh. Si Ano. Si Edward.' Sagot naman nito.

'Oh. Why am I not so surprised about it.' He gave her a bitter smile. 'So are you here to tell me to stop liking you?'

'H-huh?' Maymay was surprised with how straight forward Tanner is.

'C'mon May. Unless it's business that we will be talking about in here I don't see any other reason why you would take him on our date. Or I guess that's what I thought.'

'Tanner. Let me explain.' Panimula ni Maymay.

'You know what. I really thought what I saw in Camiguin was nothing. When I saw you kissing him by the pool.'

'Is that why you suddenly left?' Maymay cut him off to confirm.

'Yes. I thought leaving you there with him will also make you realize that he is not the type of person you date May. But I guess you already know that and yet, here we are.'

'He's changed Tanner.' Maikling tugon ni Maymay.

'If that's what you think it is then fine. Whatever floats your boat. Don't want to be the person to say I TOLD YOU SO.' Sabi nito.

'I respect you. I respect you enough to know that you think this through.' Sabi pa nito. 'Nothing I will say will make you change your mind anyway. So I guess that's it?' Akmang tatayo na ito.

'Wait Tanner.' Pagpigil ni Maymay dito. 'Sorry and Thank you.' Ngumiti ito at saka tumayo para yakapin ang lalaki.

Tanner is special to her in a way that she is comfortable with him. As a friend and she hopes that with that hug, she was able to make him feel that.

'Just let me know when things.' He paused. 'When things didn't go as you plan?' He whispered on her ear then took off.

Before he even left the restaurant, he saw Edward walking.

'Hey.' He greeted him and offered him a man hug.

'Hey.' He greeted him back.

'See you around.' That's all that Tanner said and he continued to walk towards his car.

When Edward entered the restaurant, he immediately spotted Maymay drinking some wine.

'You done talking?' Tanong nito kay Maymay.

'Yeah. Ang tagal mo.' Sita nito kay Edward.

'Sorry, love. Dad called about a few things.' Sabi nito. 'How did it go?' Tanong niya sa dalaga.

'Apparently, he knows whats up. He saw us in Camiguin Edward. He knew all along but he'd been quiet about it.' Sabi ni Maymay.

'Oh well. Glad he knows. So I guess this is a date between us now.' Sabi nito.

'Looks like it.' Sagot naman ni Maymay.

That will be their very first date as a couple and they don't mind wether who will see them together especially npw that both their families already know about their relationship.

'Soo...you ready to walk to the office hand in hand by tomorrow?' Tanong ni Edward kay Maymay.

'Do we really have to?' Tanong naman ng dalaga.

'Aren't you proud of us?'

No question is being answered which made the both of them laugh.

'But seriously, uou don't like it?' Tanong muli ni Edward.

'I'd love to but you know, I don't like people talking about me or you or us.'

'Stop giving a damn about them. They can talk all they want, the hell we care.'

'Are you that proud of me?' Tanong ni Maymay kay Edward.

'Of course. Why wouldn't I be? Your beautiful. Smart. Hot. Decent. Independent and annoyingly stubborn.' Natatawang sagot ni Edward.

'It's that even a trait?'

'Well, that's one of the things that made me like you so I guess it is.'

'Jeez Edward. Why do you have to be so sweet?'

'Uhm. Isn't it obvious?'

'What?'

'I want to get rewarded when we get home.'

'Why am I not so shocked? Oh good God! This man! He doesn't get tired, does he?' Maymay stared up as if talking to the skies.

'Luck you. I'm insatiable! Plus, I really love you.'

'Poor you cause I love you too. Now pay up and let me get you rewarded.'
