Kinatok ni Maymay ang opisina ni Edward.

'Yes?' Tanog nito ng hindi pinapapasok si Maymay.

'I need you to sign something.' Sagot ni Maymay.

'I'll be out in a sec.' Sigaw namang muli ni Edward.

He did not ask her to go in as he doesn't want any alone time with her in an enclosed room. God knows, what he might do especially after the things she's been doing to him earlier that day.

Bumalik naman si Maymay sa kanyang upuan at duon na lamang inantay ang binata.

When she handed him the documents, she made sure that her hand touched his.

But he brushed it off.

'We're having lunch. Wanna come?' Tanong nito kay Maymay.

'Uhm. No thanks, Tanner will be coming.' Sagot naman ng dalaga.

'Ohhh I see. I--I was just asking cause Laureen. Yeah, Laureen asked me if I can invite you over.' Pagpapalusot ng binata.

'But don't let us interrupt your lunch plans.' Pag segundo naman din niya.

'Laureen will be there?'

'Ye-yes.' Sagot ni Edward.

'I think I can still cancel.' Aniya habang itinuturo ang telepono. Miss na din kasi niya ang bata.

'Oh, alright. I'll let her know you're coming.' Saka dinukot ni Edward ang telepono sa bulsa.

'Bro, need your help again!' Natatarantang sabi ni Edward.

'What now?' Tanong naman ni Luis.

'I-I used your daughter to have lunch with Dale.'

'Whaaaat?' Gulat na sagot ni Luis.

'Sorry for the ambush. But can you... I mean can you pick up Laureen and Laura and meet us at Santino's?'

'Do I have a choice?' Tanong naman ni Luis kay Edward.

'Uhm, no!' Tipid na sagot ng binata.

'Fine! But next time, next time pleaaaaase. Give me a heads up!'

'I would have but it was sudden so don't have time for that.' Sagot nang binata.

'Okay. I'll just ask Laura to drive by to save time.' Sagot naman ng lalaki na naappreciate naman ni Edward.

'Thanks bro!'saka nito ibinaba ang telepono at bumalik kay Maymay.

'So?' Tanong ni Maymay kay Edward.

'She's ecstatic.' Pagsisinungaling ng binata.

'Great!' Sagot naman ng dalaga.

'Let's just meet at Santino's.' Sabi ni Edward kay Maymay.

'Ohhh. I didn't bring my car.' Ani Maymay. 'Can I ride with you?'

'H--huh? Su--sure.' This will be the first time that Maymay will get inside his car again after the incident they've had inside of it.
