((Big time skip))

Shane and Conor grew close within three months. A few weeks after their kiss and night, Conor had accepted Shane's feelings. Shane couldn't have been anymore happier. They kept quiet for a month about the relationship, not wanting to draw too much attention towards them. One day a servant had caught them kissing (Making Out) in Shane's office. The word spread faster then they had expected, especially when Meilin, Abeke, and Rollan had sent Conor letters demanding to know what the rumors were true or not.
The worst event that followed afterwards was the spirit animal chaos from a week ago.
The castle had erupted into pure madness one morning. Spirit animals had gone mad and attacked their masters and failed to go to dormant state. What was odd is that the only animals that attacked was the bile forced animals, they had attacked and ran off. Conor had seem how startled Shane was by the event. He refused to let Grahv out of dormat state after watching the event. It made Conor feel guilty knowing what had caused it.

It was after dinner when he got the letter.
Gerathon and Kovo are dead.
Shane read the line over and over again. That couldn't have been correct. It simply wasn't possible yet somehow it made sense. Why the bile wasn't working, why the force bonds were failing. If the nectar stopped after Ninani was dead then it made sense that If Gerathon died then the bile would fail but who would kill Kovo and why?
He sat at his desk. The only reason he could think of was the Green Rebels. They had been surfacing as of late from many reports. People wearing green head wraps that covered their faces, the flutter of greencloaks as destroyed bile littered the ground, the greencloak insignia was painted on the outter walls of the castle A while back by people with their faces hidden.
Conor entered the room, he wore a semi loose top that hugged his middle a bit. He smiled at Shane "Hello my king," he teased in a sing-song voice.
Shane smiled "Hello my lovely," he replied, Conor leaned over the desk a stole a quick kiss. Well it was supposed to be quick until Shane rested his hand on top of Conor's hand "Wanna take this elsewhere?" He asked, a small smirk played on his lips.
Conor smiled as he squeezed Shane's hand "Well it is getting late," he replied. A small laugh came from Shane as he went around the desk.

Shane felt ridiculous as he stripped out of his shirt. Conor was sitting on the bed as he noticed the way Shane was looking at himself in the mirror "Something wrong?" He asked.
Shane shrugged "The scales I guess," he replied. Scales decorated his shoulders and arms, Grahv's dormant state tattoo had became a waxy scar over his chest. A few were even on his face like small rough freckles. The only reason he wasn't horrified by them was that he wasn't the only person this was happening too. Devin and Karmo had sent letters asking if he had been affected the same way. Devin had claws and a tail. Karmo mentioned he accidentally shocked Rollan and was starting to grow feathers.
Conor stifled a giggle "I think it makes you look cute," he replied sweetly. Shane blushed hard at that. Even after they begun dating and all that jazz Conor still made him blush like a child with a crush.
The king turned to his boyfriend "Is that so? Maybe I can change that," he teased. He moved quickly and tackled Conor onto the bed. The euran let out a startled squeak as the steriolan begun biting and nipping at his neck.

The issue had begun later that night. Shane felt like his chest was being crushed, he couldn't breath at all. He reached for Conor but found that he was missing from his side. Shane forced a deep breath as he tried getting up. His body violently protested, all the muscles in his back and legs felt as if they were going to snap. The king hadn't suffered pain like this before. The only time he got close to something similar was if he worked out his stress way past his limit.
The door freaked open as four people came in "Told you we waited long enough," one said, a low male voice. They wore ever familiar greencloaks and green face covering. Shane forced a weak hiss at them as they approached. Three were thin while the fourth was chubby. The fourth softly touched him "C'mon let's move him already," the guy said.
Shane hissed again. He didn't trust them at all. The tallest looked over him "Shouldn't we get him dressed?" They asked, in a soft feminine voice.
The first waved a dismissive hand "He's going to ruin them by the time it's morning," he replied. His hands clasped around Shane's arm. This alarmed the king greatly.
Shane wasn't sure what happened next. He remembered screaming (roaring?) and suddenly attacking the Green claded stranger. The other three had freaked out, two summoning animals while the one he had attacked fought back. His hands tore at Shane's chest and arms to little avail. One of the animals attacked him, knocking Shane aside but didn't do anything else as he got back up on all fours.
Somebody touched Shane's back, the king twisted around sharply to see who. Conor stared at him "Hey crocy, wanna calm down?" He whispered.
Shane shook his head and hissed weakly. Conor brought his hands to the King's face "Its okay, I'm here," he reassured. The soft servant helped Shane up, his legs felt weak and ached so much. Conor softly stroked his face a little "There we go crocy," he said. Shane whined as he tried remaining awake but felt himself weaken faster. He blacked out after noticing the greencloak that Conor wore.
