Tipu jumped at the sound of rumbling. His hand immediately grabbed Master Naj's wrist "Tipu, what's wrong?" She asked.

The farican pulled his hand away "Sorry, instinct. I thought it was a stampede," he replied.

Jesper rolled his eyes "We're in Emariac the land of water and lighting how can there be a stampede?" He asked. In all honesty Jesper didn't get why Tipu was so weird about certain things.

Tipu blushed "Well I don't know but the loud rumbling usually means a stampede and stampedes are always a bad thing," he countered.

Naj and Ganh shared a small glance as if they knew something. The albino master patted her student's hair "Its fine Tipu, just a little brontide not a stampede," she reassured.

Tipu might be a student of mind but "What is brontide?" He asked.

Naj looked to the sky "Brontide is the sound of low Thunder, common to Emariac," she replied. Tipu glanced up at the sky and he knew that he hated Emariac and it's thunder.

Tipu laid awake, hugging a small toy rhino tightly to his chest. He felt the little pitter patter of Stone's tiny gecko feet on his arm. Soon the tiny Leopard gecko appeared into view of his summoner. Tipu stared as Stone bit his rhino toy "Hey now, don't bite him," he said. He gave the leopard gecko a gentle nudge.

Stone released the toy and gave an angry squeak before scittering off into the darkness. A figure rolled over in the darkness "Why do you have a toy?" Jesper asked.

Tipu hugged the rhino closer "He's my buddy," he said. There was a sharp crack of light filling the sky followed by a loud rumble of thunder. Tipu screamed and hid under his blanket.

Jesper blinked and started at the shaking figure of Tipu. He knew the earth was scared of it but- the mind leaned closer "Hey why are you scared of stampedes?" He asked.

Tipu remained hidden under his blanket and didn't attempt to move out "Have you ever seen one before? It's just a mass of wild animals going mad and their hooves were everywhere it's like death pressed down into every part of your body," he mumbled.

Jesper sat up and stepped closer to the blanket "Tipu, did your leg get injured in a stampede?" He asked.

Tipu didn't move but he did reply "No." It was soft and barely there but Jesper heard it none the less. The mind laid down in the earth's bed and wrapped his arms around the huddled up form. The two eventually fell asleep and neither moved that morning until after their masters found them there.
