An Oc Story

Miles strode over rooftops as he view down upon the small town "What is this feeling of power and drive, I've never known? I feel alive!" He muttered. His prey walked along side a lovely woman.

He kept a slow pace, not wanting to alert anybody of his presence "Where does this feeling of power derive, making me know why I'm alive?" He said. The woman left the man as he tried making unwanted advancements.

Miles dropped down into a crouch as he got ready to get down "Like the night, it's a secret; Sinister, dark, and unknown. I do not know what I seek yet I'll seek it alone!" The man hadn't noticed as the trash near him crumpled under a sudden weight.

The killer stalked closer, softly muttering "I have a thirst That I cannot deprive. Never have I felt so alive!" The man turned around and saw Miles standing a few steps away. A noose clutched in his hands.

The man released his spirit animal. A ferret, Miles smiled as he released Baron "There is no battle, I couldn't survive - Feeling like this -" The white big cat smacked pathetic creature away "Feeling alive!" Miles felt a rush of energy as the man ran off.

The Hang Man took chase, darting into an alley "Like the moon, an enigma, lost and alone in the night. Damned by some heavenly stigma but blazing with light!" He found a small stack of boxes and got up to the rooftops.

He ran after the man, who was looking back to find that Miles wasn't there. Miles made a leap of faith and jumped down into an alley just ahead of his prey "It's the feeling of being alive! Filled with evil, but truly alive!" The man skidded to a stop when Miles appeared out of the darkness and toss his noose around the man's neck.

He gave a jerk, tightening it before the man could remove it "It's the truth that cannot be denied! It's the feeling of being The Hang Man!" He pulled it again. The man fell forwards, almost unable to stop himself from hitting the ground.

Miles glared when the man didn't die or passed out yet. He approached and began stomping on the man's head, over and over and over and over until the man stopped screaming. Except the gasp from behind him.

Miles turned to see the woman from before "Wait! What's this? Sweet miss, I thought I had lost you," he said in a soft tone. The woman was mortified at the rope he held and the blood on his boot.

He smiled as he stooped down to remove his noose, still staring at her "It's fate, what bliss! Sweet miss, your folly will cost you dear," he mocked.

The woman turned away and began running. Miles took chase after her, tightly coiling his noose around his arm and wrist "My dear! You'll see, you'll never escape me!" He called.

She got into her house and slammed the door and locked it. The woman went up the stairs and heard glass shattering. She hide in the closet "I'm here! I fear and you will pay dear, my dear..." Miles called out to her.

She kept her hands over her mouth as she listened to the pounding of her heartbeat.

The woman wanted to cry because it was so loud that he was going to hear here. Doors opened and closed downstairs, slow enough that they creaked softly. It was a bout five pounds each time a door opened then closed.

A shadow passed over the closet door base. It stopped there and she could hear a soft sniffing noise. It was so close, the creature was most likely smell her.

It left. The bedroom door slammed shut. The woman counted up to ten beats then rushed out of the closet. She got to the window and struggled to open.

The bedroom door opened again, Miles threw a knife right into her right knee. The woman screamed as she dropped to the ground "Animals trapped behind bars at the zoo need to run rampant and free! Predators live on the prey they pursue! This time the predator's me!" He mocked.

Miles walked up to her, Baron growling as she stared up in horror at them. The Hang man crouched down as he jerked the knife out. He licked the blood off the blade "Lust, like a raging desire, fills my whole soul with it's curse! Burning with primitive fire, berserk and perverse!" He said.

He plunged the knife into her stomach. She screeched as Miles smiled and raised his voice to shout "Tonight I'll plunder heaven blind, steal from all the gods! Tonight I'll take from all mankind, conquer all the odds!" He yelled and pulled the knife up. His free hand plunged inside and pulled out her intestines.

He shaped the biggest one into a noose knot he carefully placed it around her neck "And I feel I'll live on forever with Kovo himself by my side! And I'll show the world that tonight and forever, The name to remember's the name Hang Man!" He whispered. He took the knife out of her. Miles knew she was close to death so he had to hurry.

He carried her out of the window and slowly took her to the front of her house. Mike's had noticed the perfect place to put her "What a feeling to be so alive! I have never seen me so alive! Such a feeling of evil inside - That's the feeling of being The Hang Man!" He yelled into the night time air. Down the street was officers vastly approaching. They were light up by the torches.

Miles placed the noose he had around her neck. He knew she wasn't going to be held up by her own entrails "With this feeling of being alive! There's a new world I see come alive! It's a truth that can not be denied!" He said.

The officers stared up at Miles, the moon behind him helped shroud his face in darkness. He kicked the woman off the roof and watched as the mutilated body terrified the officers "There's no feeling like being The Hang Man!" He cried out.

The killer swirled around. His cloak flaring up like a shadow peeling free from the darkness and he ran into the night.
