Everything's got a price

Tipu loved going out and visiting Asder. What he disliked was when he had to go get modified clothed. They were expensive even for a master and it was ridiculous. Master Fanel forced him to go with Jesper anyway.

They were just going to get Jesper clothing for the new animal features he had and Tipu needed his clothes to be resized since his figure had gotten a little more muscular. Jesper hated being reminded of his ic form. Unlike an Angwu who could hide their apperence,  an ic was permanently stuck in a half human-half animal state. The constant reminder of what they lost instead of being reminded of what they had taken.

It was better than being a mag though. Ic was the oppsite of a mag. Being half instead of whole and being reminded of lost instead of forgetting everything they once had. It was part of the balance like many things in Asder were. They were forever opposites, one of remembrance and one of forgetting. Tis a price to pay for knowledge in one or the other.

They had gone to visit somebody in Slandis. Tipu didn't like the island nation as he once did when he was younger. What happened the last time he visited was forever imprinted into his mind and also altered him too.

Jesper looked just as uncomfortable. Neither had a good experience here. Tipu took his boyfriend's hand "Come on, the sooner we grt this done the faster we van leave," he reassured.

The ic nodded and they went to the tailor's house. It was a little bigger than the other shops but that did make sense since it looked to be overflowing with fabrics. The tailor was known as the Master Tailor, as they were the only other person to make clothing for masters. Which explained why the prices for clothing was so ridiculously high for one person making clothing for the most powerful people in Asder.

Tipu still hated it. He was a master, the tailor should be making his clothing for free and be honored that the masters had picked their family to make clothing for them. It was an outrage.

Master Naj and his father had once laughed when he had expressed this. They thought he was being silly but he was serious. This random person who's family was selected out of thousands of Tailors and they made their price high.

Yet Tipu never expressed it after that and instead silently stewed as he watched Jesper get his measurements taken by a spindly man while a young girl wrote down the numbers and fetch or do whatever the man asked or needed. Probably his daughter or an apprentice.

Tipu had let his magic drop in order for his measurements to be taken. They filled out everything else and paid (500 Iron Bits each!) The man smiled and informed tjem that their clothes would be made a sent to the Temple within two weeks after completion. Tipu remained annoyed for the rest of the day but kept those thoughts to himself.
