Ever Flowing

Water swirled, air twirled, earth tipped, fire plumed, mind twisted, nature furled, ice hardened, light twinkled, shadow darkened, lightening streaked, void consumed, and power blossomed. Master Naj knew what magic felt like. Anybody who had escaped becoming a mag had felt it.

It spun around your fingers and hummed in you veins, at one with your heart beat. That is what was at all Asderians' cores. Magic.

Naj had once tapped her son's magical core when he was very young to see what he was but as a young child the magic was wild a free. No power had settled in yet. She prayed he got something that made him feel wild and free.

As she watched his drank the sap and witness the single thread of his core come free. She loved the vibrant red of earth. The way it tipped and rocked around as the thread turned into a orb then the orb took shape. A gazelle came free with the magic.

Master Nah would never explain why she had been so happy seeing Jesper get Earth magic. He wouldn't understand it, a feeling that a mother would watch her son grow up happy.

She remembered the way Tipu looked at her when his magic had become Stone the Leopard Gecko. The confusion, amazement, and fear that filled his eyes. Naj knew he would make a perfect apprentice because he had something that very few minds would ever understand. The love and compassion of knowledge and respecting life of others.

Naj remembered the moment she saw Tipu come back apologizing about wanting to quit and how he should have understood her warning better. The softness to his face of a hurt boy. She had hugged him and told him it was fine.

Upon her final moments Master Naj knew why she had blocked the wave of mind magic despite being so weak. Not just to protect her son but also, after everything she had been through, the magic had told her what was happening. The void was consuming her as the mind erupted in waves around Tipu. It was time to move on. This was where her journey had taken her, Naj felt everything and more in her final moments. She felt joy, love, kindness, and most importantly, at peace. This wasn't her or Ganh's journey anymore but it was Jesper's and Tipu's now. Not just those two but Callum's, Verona's, and Rialen's journey. They were going to change Asder forever.

Master Naj felt the last of her magic and life seep from her. She felt her soul flowing away to become a single piece of magic that would take on a new life as she and everybody who was alive or dead had once did.

Naj prayed she see all of those that she loved again.
