The next time I woke up it was about 1 in the afternoon. Mark and Jack were nowhere to be found. I stood up checking for anything new on my body. All I found were the burning marks on my left hand, and some cuts on my arms. I had the worst headache in the world. I had to grip the furniture in order to walk. The light from the outside stung my eyes. I scanned the living room and the kitchen checking for any signs of the boys. I went over to the phone and looked at the cut cord. It would take some digging but it could be fixed. I turned around and walked through the back door, onto the back porch. I saw the car, but where were the keys? I walked back into the house and went upstairs into my room. It was completely trashed. They seemed to be going through my clothes while I was out. I went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror. The bruises on my neck were still there along with some cuts on my face. I looked down at my hand which was now black. Not skin color black, but a deep black that faded once it hit my wrist. I inspected it carefully. I was so confused. What was happening? Where were they? Could I fix this? These thoughts racing through my head. I had an idea. Jacks computer I could probably get someone's attention on there. I hobbled as fast as I could into his room. The computer was sitting on his desk. I opened it. It went straight to his work sight. There was one person I knew would pick up to a skype call. David. I called him with the camera on.
"Hey Jack...." His voice faded once he saw me.
"I need help," I said in a quiet tone
"Where's Jack sweetheart," He said. I plugged my ears.
"Don't call me that," I said
"Okay, then what's your name?" He asked me.
"I can't say, It's hard to remember anything right now, my head hurts and I don't know where they are,"
"Who?"
"Jack and Mark"
"How do you know them?"
"I live with them,"
"Oh, How do you know Jack?"
"We are acquaintances,"
"So you must be Evelina,"
"Yes, I need you to call the police"
"Why,"
"They have gone insane," I showed him my neck. His eyes widened.
"What's the address?" I couldn't remember.
"Just call them and ask them about a frantic call that got cut off," I told him
"Okay, hang on," He grabbed his phone and dialed 911.
"Hello, yes, did you get a call yesterday that was cut off? You do where was that call from?" I listened so carefully
"42nd country road?" He looked at me for. I nodded. " Yes, do you think that you could get there soon? Oh, I understand, alright thank you," He hung up.
"What did they say???" I said anxiously
"They don't cover that area," He said, His eyes widened, "Hey Jack!"
