"What are you doing?" I asked him, in between kisses.
"What I haven't done since we left the old house," He said. I heard crashing from outside. I looked up, so did Mark. Jack came rushing into the room slamming the door behind him. His nose was bleeding. I got off of Mark. My eyes turning black. I walked out into the hallway. The girl was across the hallway. Her eyes like mine.
"So, You've met Jack," I said to her.
"I have and I want him to be mine," She said. Her voice was dark.
"You can't have him," I said
"Why? You have one," She said pointing to Mark who was helping Jack with his bloody nose. I looked at her.
"Stay away from us,"" I said
"Why? You have something I want," She said. I was done with this. I saw a gun on the table near the door.
"Tell me," I said, "How much do you like metal?" The question caught her off guard. I shot her in the chest. Her body fell backwards and landed on the hallway carpet, staining it. Jack grabbed my arm and ripped me into the apartment. He slammed the door shut. The normal me was back.
"Are you crazy?!" He yelled at me.
"What did I do?" I asked him.
"You just killed someone!" He said. I wasn't surprised, the dark side likes death.
"Jack, it wasn't her fault," Mark said.
"To get in here I told them that you weren't crazy," Jack said. He was going dark now I could hear it in his voice. Mark grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and pushed him into a nearby closet. He closed the door and barricaded it with a broom. I heard voices from outside our door.
"Mark!" I yelled. He turned to me.
"Stay calm, it's going to be okay," He said to me. Jack was screaming from inside the closet. A few knocks came from the outside.
"Open up!" Voices yelled. I started to walk over to the door. I grabbed the gun off the side table. I opened the door cautiously. A man in all black with a fairly large gun stood over me.
"Hello miss, did you hear gunshots...." He stopped and looked at me. He grabbed my wrist and yanked me into the hallway, slamming my body up against the wall.
"Mark!" I screamed, "Help Me!" Mark's voice started to fill the hallways.
"Let her go man, she didn't do anything," Mark said calmly.
"She's the girl we have been looking for," The man yelled
"Ya, well, she's also my girlfriend," He said. I started to cry.
"Mark," I squeaked out.
"Shut up," The man said, electricity flew throughout my body. I screamed. I needed my dark side for help, but my fear was holding it back. I heard Mark's dark voice. The man holding me down flew backward. I breathed out.
"Pretty, come back to me," He said running his hand across my cheek. The darkness had finally taken over. I looked at Mark and smiled.
"Let's go get Jack, Handsome," I said tugging him into the apartment. Jack was banging on the closet door, screaming to be let out. I grabbed the broom and let him out.
"Pretty's back," He smiled. Mark slapped him.
"You ever pull a stunt like that again you're dead," He said his dark voice rising in anger. Jack held his face. I looked at him. His black eyes meeting mine.
"Handsome, you hurt him," I said, walking up to Jack, "He's ours. not theirs,"
"You're right," Mark said.
"Say sorry," I told him.
"Sorry, Jack," He said. He went back to normal after that, so did Jack. I didn't. Mark looked at me with pleasure.
"Eyes front soldier, just because she's gone doesn't mean you can do whatever you want," I said to Mark, "I only give things to my Mark," I heard more voices behind me.
"Hands up!" One yelled. I turned around. Their guns were pointed sharply at me.
"Why? My hands are perfectly comfortable at their sides," I replied.
"Hands up, Now" He repeated.
"No," I refused again. He pulled something out of his pocket and shot it. It hit my shoulder. Pain started to creep down my arm and into chest. I started to cough. I coughed up some blood and spit it onto the ground. I went back to normal. The pain was dreadful. I fell to the ground holding my head, trying to cut the pulsing. I couldn't hear Mark or Jack anymore.
"Mark!" I yelled. Hands wrapped around my shoulders yanking me off the ground. It was a new smell, gunpowder and smoke.
"Take her and put her in the truck," It was an unfamiliar voice.
