I woke up still in the car, but we weren't moving. The sleeve from Mark's jacket was still tightly over my eyes. Mark's body was next to mine. My hands went to the sleeve. I pulled it down. There was no light. It was dark all around me. Jack was sleeping in the front. Mark's breath crawled down my neck. The moon's light bounced off the hood of the car. I sat up. Looking around the car. It was a truck. I sat up, looking out the windows. We were on a deserted mountain road. I opened the car door and stepped outside. The cold air welcomed me. I looked up at the sky. The stars formed beautiful blueish-purple clusters. I felt Mark's hands run along my waist. He kissed the back of my neck.

"Morning," he said in his rough voice.

"Hey," I replied leaning my head back, resting it on his shoulder. He kissed my cheek. I smiled weakly.

"Where are we?" I asked

"I don't know," He replied, "All I know is, whoever was keeping us captive, wants us really bad," I closed my eyes. His voice was so soothing. I turned around so I was facing him. His eyes were so much prettier than I remembered. I pulled him in for a kiss. His warm lips meeting my cold ones. He pulled away.

"We'll find somewhere small to stay, I promise," He said.

"Don't need to," I said, " I'm fine right here with you,"

He smiled at that. We sat out in the open until the sun came out. I could see my breath that morning. The black short sleeve wasn't doing much for me. Mark's body was so warm. I cuddled up next to him.

"Hey lovebirds!" Jack called from inside the truck, "Let's go!"

"Coming," I called. Mark got up first. He held his hand out and pulled me up off the ground. I was going to let go, but our fingers intertwined. He smiled. I smiled in return. We walked to the car.

"Mark, you got shot gun," I said.

"But I want to sit with you," He said.

"You sit with Jack, I'm still going to be in the same car," I said, he smiled. I laughed and crawled into the back. Once all the car doors slammed, Jack started to car.

"Where are we going," I asked.

"I'm.... Not sure yet," He replied. The road ahead was empty. Cabins decorated the sides. They were all twisted into the trees. After a few minutes we reached a small chain of old clubs and dumpy motels. I saw someone on the side of the road, blood was covering their hands.

"Jack, stop!" I said. Jack slammed on the breaks. I opened the car door and ran out to him. He looked like Ethan. His brown hair falling into his face. He looked up at me with deep hazel eyes.

"Are you okay?" I asked. With that he grabbed my neck with one bloody hand. My hands shot up too try and rip his hand off of my neck. I saw the other hand holding a glistening blade. I heard Mark yell from within the car.

"Don't bother getting out of the car, young man," The man said. His eyes now a deep black, "She's mine now,"

He shoved the blade into my side. I screamed out in pain. He yanked it out and let go of my neck. I was gasping for air. The man started to walk in circles around my limp body.

"I work for the FR," He said, "They'll be so happy to know that you are still alive and well,"

"Why...." I gasped.

"Why not," He said looking down at me. I heard a car door open behind him. Mark and Jack tumbled out. They were gone. Mark yanked the knife out of the man's hand and stabbed him in the back. The man groaned and fell to the ground. I heard cars and voices in the distance. The dark me came out. I stood up and looked at Mark and Jack who were smiling contently.

"Let them take us," Jack said, "Please,"

"Yes, I agree, let them have us," Mark pleaded

"Fine, We can get some tools there," I said smiling. The normal pushed back in. I backed up and held my side, crouching down to try and stop the pain. I felt Mark's warm hands around me.

"You okay?" He asked in a panic. Tears rolled down my face as I laid back in his arms, stretching my legs out. He held me with one arm.

"Ev, let go of it so I can see," Jack said.

"No.... If I let go, something's going to fall out," I cried. The voices were basically right around the corner from us.

"Hey!" A voice screamed, "There they are!"
