"You okay?" Jack asked

"No," I said

"You can let it out, Ev," Jack said

"Jack, shut up, if I let it out, I'm never getting back in this car," I said. Jack sat back in his seat. I saw a man standing in the middle of the road, flagging us down. I went into darkness and exited the car.

"What the hell do you want?" I said with darkness swirling in my voice.

"I'm here to kill you," He said pointing a pistol at me.

"Why because I stole your truck? Oh poor baby," I said walking towards him.

"Back the hell up," He said shaking.

"You've never shot that gun have you?!" I yelled at him.

"Y-yes I have," He stumbled

"The hell you have. You are going to give me that gun,"

"No, I'm not," I grabbed his wrist and took the gun from him.

"It's like taking candy from a baby," I said. I stuck in the rim of my jean shorts and pulled my tank top down.

"Get back here, or..." He yelled

"Or what?!" I interrupted. He didn't say anything, "That's what I thought," I mumbled and got back in the truck. I was normal when I drove off.

Two hours past of complete silence. Mark was out in the back and Jack looked like he was about to lose it. We got into another town.

"Stop at that house," Jack said pointing to a navy blue painted house, "I'll meet you inside," He got out of the car and went inside.

"Mark," I said leaning back out shaking him.

"Ya?" He said opening his eyes. He looked like he had the worst hangover.

"We're staying here for the night," I said

"Alright," he sat up and opened the door. He fell out and I caught him. He put his forehead on mine.

"I love you," He mumbled, "I'm sorry I've been such a jerk, and I just don't know how to handle all of this..." I interrupted him with a kiss. We walked in and Jack was in the living room sitting on the couch.

"Hey, Jack why did we come here?" I asked him, Mark was slung over my shoulders.

"This was my house," He said standing up.

"Really?" I asked

"Ya," He replied, "Your rooms at the end of the hallway,"

"Thanks, Jack," I said

"Sure," He said sitting back on the couch.

"I'm serious, Thank you," I said. I walked down the hallway and went to the room at the end of the hallway. I put Mark on the bed and went to the bathroom to check on my injuries. Finally, where I was shot was healing. My shoulder was so close to being healed and my back was just a whole other story. Jack came into the bathroom.

"I have to tell you something..." He said. I stopped what I was doing and turned around to look at him.

"What is it?" I asked him

" When we were at the hospital.... They took Mark and I into blood testing, they told us we needed to be in the psych ward and when we said no, they threatened to kill you, so they moved you and us to the psych ward," He said

"Jack why are you telling me this," I said

"I wanted you to know because when we were in there we saw.... Your mom,"
