I woke up to Mark's soft breathing. I was still wrapped in his arms. I snuggled closer to him completely content with where I was. As I was moving closer to Mark's chest I felt something against it. I unbuttoned his flannel a bit to reveal... My old locket. I haven't seen this since we moved into the old house. I opened the ancient piece of jewelry to see a picture of Mark and I. My arms were playfully wrapped around his neck, while I hung joyfully on his back. We both had the biggest grins plastered on our faces. I smiled a bit and closed the locket. I started to button up his flannel.
"What are you doing?" Mark said in a playful voice. I jumped a bit, then giggled at the sudden turn of events.
"I was looking at your necklace," I giggled. He pulled me onto his chest.
"If you were going to take off my shirt, then by all means, take off my shirt," He said, sitting up and kissing me. I laughed and kissed him back. I started to undo the buttons again. I smiled as my hair fell into my face. He laid back down and pushed it behind my ear. I smiled at him. I reached the bottom of his shirt and looked at him.
"Happy now?" I asked sarcastically.
"Yes, very," He said. I leaned down and laid my head on his broad chest. He moved his arms so they were resting on my back. The rising and falling of his chest pulled me back into sleep. I was almost asleep when a few gunshots stung the air. I jumped a bit and Mark only held me tighter.
"That's it," I said I crawled off Mark's chest and started to get changed into something that I could fight in. I slipped the baggy shirt off and pulled a black-Tee over my scarred body. I tied my combat boots and stood up to start grabbing my weapons. Mark's hands caught my waist. He kissed my neck.
"So, who's side are we on today, sweet thing," he said
"Theirs," I said. I grabbed the gun and reloaded it with another round.
"Who are we killing?" Mark asked not letting go.
"Not sure," I replied. I put the gun down and turned around to Mark. I smirked at him and wrapped my arm around the back of his neck, pulling him in for a kiss. I ran my hands through his hair, messing it up even more than before. I pulled away and he looked at me almost stunned. I grabbed another round and slipped it into my back pocket.
"What was that?" Mark said laughing a bit,
"That was me being frisky, now put on a shirt," I said smiling. I threw his shirt at him and left the room with my blade and gun. I put the gun into the rim of my jeans as I walked down the long hallway. Adam approached me. I stopped walking to talk to him.
"Morning," he said
"Morning, now all I want to know is who I need to kill then we'll be out of your hair," I said stopping and facing Adam at the end of the hallway.
"Getting right to the point are we?" Adam said through a growl.
"That's how I like it," I said
"The FR is here, they are wearing all black uniform," Adam said
"Got it," I said. I started to walk off when Adam's words stopped me.
"Did you really kill the leader of the Reunion and the FR?" He said
"Ya, sure did," I said, "To them, I'm a prize," I started to walk down the hallway again. Mark caught up to me, his hair still messed up from earlier.
"So, who we fighting today?" Mark asked.
"The FR," I replied, "They are dressed all black,"
"Sounds good," He replied, "Where's Jack?"
"Right here," A voice says from behind us. We Both stopped and turned around. Jack came walking up. We all walked to the front door where the gunfire was the loudest.
"Ready?" Mark asked looking at me. I went dark.
"Ready," I said cocking my eyebrow and heading out the front doors. The boys followed me their black eyes stinging the back of my neck. I saw all the men wearing black. I shot two right off the bat. Bullets trailed against the side of the complex we were staying in, only leading to more shots coming from me. I put the second round in and shot all six. My shots all on point.
"Pretty, look at you go," Mark said smiling down at me. His black eyes filled with pride.
"I'm your good shot, aren't I?" I said turning to him.
"You know it," He said pecking my lips. A man came running up behind us. Jack shot and I heard his body fall to the pavement. I went normal to see Mark's pitch black eyes. A burst of pain went through my thigh. I crumpled to the ground in pain.
