"Hey, boys," I said. The men turned around, their two large guns pointing right at me, "Woah, calm down,"

"Is that her, general?" Said one of them. He looked no older than seventeen.

"Wait, you don't want to shoot me," I stepped a little closer to him, grabbing the end of his gun, "Ever heard of the FR?"

"What do you know?" He asked me.

"Too much," I whispered in his ear.

"General, leave us alone," He said, smirking.

"I'll watch from the kitchen," Said the older one heading inside.

"What do you know?" He said, looking me up and down.

"Well, what don't I know," I said, "Eyes front soldier," I heard a car start from a distance.

"Tell me, you can...trust me," he said

"Oh, can I?" I said. The garage door behind me opened. The man in the kitchen started to shoot. I shot him.

"Mayday, mayday..." The boy in front of said into his radio. I ripped it off of his chest and hit him on the back of the head with the back of the gun. He collapsed on the ground. I grabbed his gun.

"Get in," Mark called from inside the car. I opened the passenger door and hopped in. We sped off down the road.

"Dude, where did you get that gun?" Jack said sounding astonished.

"Off the kid I was talking to," I replied throwing it in the back.

"I told you, you're a badass," Mark said

"Shut up," I said laughing, "Where's our next stop?"

"Uh... I think Limon?" Mark said squinting at a green sign.

"That's 200 miles away," Jack said.

"That's a bit far, don't you think?" I said

"No, we need to go that far," Mark said.

"If we are going that far I'm going to sleep," Jack said.

I looked out the window at the rolling grasslands. It was so green and overgrown. The cars on the side of the road just completed the scene. I rolled down the window and let my hand ride on the breeze. The warm breeze felt sweet on my face.

"You hungry?" Mark said

"Hell yeah," I responded. He laughed.

"There are some cans back there with a can opener," Mark said

"What?! How did you find those?" I asked

"They were in the garage," He said

"Oh, also next time, get a car that isn't puke green, or a Honda," I said laughing. He laughed in return. He turned at an exit that said Limon. After three hours we were here. He hopped out of the car and went to the back opening it. Jack was up now. He handed me a can of green beans and opened it with the can opener. I ate them, each bite being so much more worth it. I looked up at the stars. I wish everything was normal. I wanted it to be, so badly. I fell asleep with the crisp air all around me.
