"Mark! Calm down!" I yelled at him, "It wasn't him!" I tried to stand up, but the pain took over and I sat back on the wall with a hard thump. I winced.
"Right sorry Ev, we need to get you fixed up, you're losing blood too fast,' Mark said. He came over and picked me up. The shift and change of positions made the pain almost deafening. He headed into Jack's bathroom and set me on the corner of the tub. He grabbed a needle and thread along with some rubbing alcohol and started to stitch. I grabbed his shoulder and squeezed it as hard as I could to try and shake the pain.
"Question," I said through my teeth, in the middle of a stitch.
"Ya?" Mark said, not looking away from his work
"Where in the hell... did we get all of the whiskey?" I said.
"My grandad use to collect it. He put it in the cellar and said that sunlight made it taste weird. When he past, my grandma just kept on putting it down there in honor of him," He replied
"So... how much is down there?" I asked
"Hundred something,"
"Geez," I replied
"Done, come here," he said picking me up and walking over to his room. He laid me on the bed as gently as he could.
"I need to talk to Jack," I said to Mark.
"Okay," he said hesitantly. Jack then came rushing into the room.
"I'm sorry... I'm sorry," he mumbled to me. His eyes were red from crying.
"I'm fine, Okay?" I said to him, "Go get some rest, you need it," I grabbed his hand, which was resting on the side of the bed.
"I don't want to..." He said
"Go, Jack, for me," I said cutting him off. He looked me in the eyes then headed off to his bedroom.
"Mark, where's Ethan," I asked
"I'll go look for him," Mark said heading out of the room. Mark left the room and I closed my eyes. It had been the most eventful past five minutes of my entire life. I heard shifting in the room. My eyes zipped open scanning my surrounding. It was Ethan. Black eyes and messy hair.
"Say anything, I will call them," He said. I sat up, my wound screaming in pain.
"Go away," I said
"No," Ethan replied walking over to me. He crawled on the bed. I inched back, my head hitting the bed frame.
"Leave me alone," I said, Ethan's face was now inches away from mine.
"Not today, not now, not ever, Mark and Jack have had their fun now, it's my turn," Ethan's lips met mine. I tried to get away, but Ethan had a hard grip on my hands. He pulled away and looked at me. He went back in once again locking lips with me. He teasingly parted my lips. This time I backed away, I heard Mark coming up the stairs. Thank goodness. I heard Mark walk into the room. He shoved Ethan off and hit him.
"Thanks man," Ethan said
"Go to bed," Mark said angrily. Ethan scurried off to his room. Mark laid down next to me. I inched myself away from the bed frame and looked at him. He smiled at me. I closed my eyes and fell back to sleep.
I woke up again and this time it was morning. I lifted up my shirt to see the bullet hole. It was badly bruised and dried blood had decorated my stomach. Mark was still sleeping soundly beside me. I crawled out of bed painfully and headed downstairs. I went into the bathroom. I checked on my stab wound. Mostly healed, still needed to be wrapped though. I wrapped it again and headed out into the kitchen reaching into the fridge and finding some carrots. I went to the sink to wash them. I noticed something out the window. There was another car. Ethan's car had flat tires and Mine was rolled on the side of the road. This one looked as if it was brand new straight from the dealership. It was jet blue and looked like a honda I walked upstairs into Mark's bedroom. Mark was still asleep. The gun, I thought, where's the gun. The last time I saw it, Jack had dropped it on the floor. Sure enough it was still there. I grabbed it and went back downstairs to inspect the car. I opened the screen door leading out into the driveway. The car was empty and the doors were unlocked.
