"Uh are you two together?" He asked. I looked at Mark and smiled.
"Yes, we are actually engaged," I replied.
"Oh, well, if I can do either of you any favors, just let me know," He said happily.
"Uh, actually, do you know where we could get married?" Mark asked. I looked at him and smiled the biggest smile ever.
"Oh yeah, of course, I'll call him right now," The man said, picking up his phone and dialing a few numbers.
"Are we actually going to get married today?" I asked Mark turning to him.
"I can't wait any longer," He said smiling down at me.
"Alright, he's on his way," The man said happily, "See you around happy couple," Mark and I just looked at each other and laughed.
Soon another man showed up.
"Are you the two who wanted to get married today?" He said. We both nodded.
"Aright," He said, setting his stuff down. We said our vows and then finished it all off with a kiss. I hugged him and he hugged me.
"Finally," He said with a smile, giving me another kiss on the forehead.
We walked around the cheering town, looking at store fronts and other. Soon after we walked into a hotel lobby.
"Excuse me?" I asked the front desk
"Can I help you- Wait, aren't you the girl that killed Aaron?" She said
"Uh, yeah," I replied.
"Well, thank you so so much," She said
"Uh, you're welcome," I said. Mark laughed at me. I looked up at him and rolled my eyes.
" I was actually wanting to get a room," I said, "I don't have any money, but I can do you some favors,"
"Oh, you will do you no such thing, I'll let you get a room for free," She said.
"Oh, uh thank you so much," I said.
"Yes, Thank you," Mark replied. The lady handed us the room key and sent us up to our room. We walked down the long halls looking for our room. We finally found it and headed inside.
"Well, husband, shall we sleep?" I asked cheesily grabbing his hand.
"Yes we shall, wife," He said spinning me around and falling to the bed, landing on top of me. We crawled under the covers, falling asleep peacefully, for the night.
I woke up to gunfire and screams outside. I shook Mark awake.
"Mark," I said. He sat up and rushed to the window. I followed. People were being thrown out of their homes and stores and shot in the streets.
"We need to go," Mark said.
"Mark it's not safe,' I said in replied.
"If we stay here it's not safe," He said. We ran out of the hotel room and down the stairs. We sprinted through the first floor levels and out a back door. As soon as we were out Mark grabbed my hand and continued to run.
"Hey!" Voices called behind us. A few men appeared in front of us.
"Look, we didn't do anything to harm you," Mark said moving he behind his back.
"No, you did do something, you killed Aaron," A man said pointing to me with his gun.
"Look, we were just trying to protect ourselves," Mark said, trying to find any words to save us,
"Move, or you'll die to," The man said holding up his gun.
"I don't think that's -" Mark was cut off by a bullet to the chest. He fell back on me. I screamed and slowly sat down to the ground.
"Mark..."I said trembling and stroking his hair, "You're okay, stand up. Please stand up," I looked around at all the men surrounding Mark and me. I stood up and grabbed one of their handguns. I pointed it around the circle.
"You're outnumbered sweetheart," The one that killed Mark said. I looked down at the gun and pointed it to my head.
"Are you going to kill me?" I said through sniffles, turning to gun off safety.
"No, we'll take care of you," The man said, putting his gun down. I looked down at Mark's lifeless body. I was on my knees next to him, with a gun pointed to my head.
"We won't kill you, so put the gun down," The man said.
"If you wanted me to live, you should have kept Mark alive, he didn't deserve death," I said crying.
"Just put the gun down," He said again.
"No," I replied looking back up at him, I pulled the trigger and everything went black.
So, that's it. That's my story. I didn't live the best life, but I could say I influenced a lot of people. My life went everywhere. I met a lot of people, I went through a lot of pain, and I married the man that I loved. You could say killing myself wasn't the best way to go out, but now I get to be with the people that I love most. I can live in peace with them. So, goodbye, Farewell, I hope you enjoyed my story
