I woke up in a chair...still tied. The good thing was I was still in the house. I was in Mark and I's room. My head rolled around looking through my barely opened eyes. I saw a man in the corner. I blinked a few times to make sure that he was real.

"Morning, Evelina," he said. I squinted my eyes to try and figure out who it was.

"Don't bother trying to get away," He said approaching me, "This place is surrounded, we knew you were coming here," I tried to talking, but I seemed to have forgotten the tape covering my mouth.

"No, we are not with the new era," He said, "That place is bull. We are the opposite. We think that the chaos with help the world understand that it's finally the end," The man sat on the bed causing it to creak in response to the pressure. He reached forward and ripped the tape off. I whimpered a bit in pain.

"Where's Lisa?" I said first

"She's safe," Was the only response from him

"Where's Lisa?" I asked again.

"We need your help," He said, completely ignoring me.

"You need my help?" I said sarcastically," After what you just did? Make my friend turn against me, basically mug my boyfriend, and yank me out of a good morning. You think I'm going to help you?"

"I know it wasn't the best introduction...." He replied

"Wasn't the best introduction?!?!" I replied in anger, interrupting him, "You could have killed me!". I started to feel the dark rise up in me.

"What can I do to get you to help us?" He asked.

"Have you eaten a pill?" I asked.

"Ya," He responded. I turned dark and ripped the ropes off of my hands.

"Then fight me," I said in my heavy voice. He went dark and ran towards me. I jumped out of the way as he hit the wall behind me.

"You want my help?" I yelled, grabbing the back of his shirt and yanking him off the floor and slamming his body into the wall behind him, "You need to make me beg,"

"Beg for what?" he said in his heavy blackened voice.

"You need to make me beg for Mark, make me beg for you to stop, make me beg for you to show me mercy," I said through my teeth. I put my foot onto his chest putting pressure onto his lungs. He grabbed my shin harshly.

"Oh, I'll make you beg," He said.

"You don't know how," I replied. I darted over to the dresser and pulled out a small dagger and threw it the man. I cut his shoulder and then hit the wall behind him.

"What's your name, boy?" I said as I ducked under his swings. I pulled the dagger out of the wall and turned around cutting his arm this time.

"Jonas," he said, his black eyes content with what was happening. He kicked me back knocking a picture off the wall. There was hit after hit to my face. He then knelt down grabbing my cheeks with one hand.

"Are you begging yet?" He asked, panting. I lifted up my black hands and shoved him across the room,

"Not yet," I said I grabbed my knife again and threw it, hitting him in the leg. He laughed and pulled it out. He ran over to me. He hit me in the stomach again and then lunged in with the knife. It was inches away from my face when I caught it. He was much stronger than my dark. My dark was probably still weak from the blood loss.

"Are you begging now?" He said in a frustrated tone.

"No," I said through my teeth. He pushed the knife closer to my forehead. I started to cut over my left eyebrow.

"Come on, Evelina, beg for me," Jonas whispered into my ear. The dark left.

"Mark!" I screamed, "Mark! Help Me!"

"There it is, now will you help me?" Jonas questions.

"I'll help you! Just let me go!!" I screamed. Mark suddenly burst through the door, the dark in his eyes filled with fury. He ripped Jonas off me and yanked the knife from his hands. I went dark again. I ran up and grabbed Mark's arm, yanking it down. He turned to me.

"Handsome, I'm fine," I said

"He hurt you didn't he?" Mark said his voice drowning with dark.

"Handsome, I said I'm fine," I said.

"Pretty, you're not, look at you're beautiful hands. Look at you face," he said lifting my black hands and looking into my darkened eyes. I saw Jonas behind Mark start to run. I grabbed the knife from Mark's hands. I pulled Mark into a hug and held the knife towards Jonas causing him to stop.

"Hurt me all you want," I said, "But if you hurt him, I will make sure you don't walk out that door," Jonas stopped and went normal. I let go of Mark still dark. I flipped the knife catching the handle.

"Please," Jonas said, pain in his voice. I grabbed his head and yanked it back.

"You're lucky I don't have a gun," I said through my teeth. I let go of his hair and went normal. I fell to the floor hitting my head. Mark ran over to me picking my body up and putting it on the bed.

"Jonas, is she okay?" I heard Mark say.

"I don't know, all I know is that we both went crazy after I asked her for her help," Jonas said.

"Jonas what did she say before that?" Mark asked.

"Her dark just said to make her beg," He said. I heard Mark help Jonas off the floor and help him out of the room. I opened my eyes staring at the ceiling fan starting to slowly spin. I felt a light breeze enter the window. I turned my head to see dark clouds out the window. It felt like everything started to move in slow motion. A flash of lightning struck down on what looked like an old water tower. Thunder seemed to shake the house. I stood up and walked towards the window, my ears ringing from the clash of thunder. I heard the door swing open behind me.
