I woke up to birds chirping outside the house. Lisa was still fast asleep. I heard a low growl from Mark who turned over, wrapping his arms around my waist. He kissed the back of my neck.

"Morning," He said in a low, gravelly voice.

"Morning,"" I said back.

"I'm sorry about last night, I got a little to drunk," Mark said chuckling a bit.

"You're fine, Lisa had a nightmare last night so... I was up a little later," I said

"Do you need to sleep more?" He asked in a concerned tone.

"No, I'm fine," I laughed. I got out of the bed tucking Lisa in again, Mark put on his clothes and I changed mine. There was a knock on the door.

"Come in," Mark called. Jonas popped his head in.

"Get ready for combat," he said.

"Why?" I asked

"We got a bunch of New Era soldiers on the horizon," He said.

"I'll get Lisa safe," I said. Jack walked in after Jonas. He tossed two bullet proof vests at Mark.

"You'll need these," he said. He left the room. I took Lisa to a small closet.

"Lisa, wake up," I said comfortingly. Her eyes groggily opened.

"What is wrong," She said.

"I'm going to need you to stay here, okay?" I told her.

"Why?" She asked.

"Some bad men have come to the house," I said, "So can you promise me that you will stay here?"

"Yes," She said, "Could I have a blanket?"

"Of course sweetheart," I said. I grabbed a blanket off Mark and I's bed. I handed it to her. She curled up on the floor and fell back asleep. I closed the closet and headed down stairs. I grabbed two hand guns and two daggers.

"Where's Lisa?" Jack asked, cleaning his gun.

"She's upstairs in the hallway closet," I said, "We have to make sure they don't get into the house,"

"Well, we better start now," Jack said putting his gun in the holster and heading out the door. Mark followed him.

"Alright boys," I said, going dark, "Let's go end some lives," They both smiled crookedly at me. We walked out to the porch. We saw the trucks in the distance.

"Ready?" I asked Jack and Mark.

"I couldn't be more ready," Mark said brushing my hair back. He put his lips on mine holding it for a moment. Our kiss was interrupted with gunshots. Jack started firing at the oncoming trucks. The stopped a few hundred feet from the house. I started to strut out to them. Shots hit next to me. Jonas's men looked at me in disbelief.

"Can you all stop for a few seconds!" I yelled. Surprisingly, the bullets stopped. I smirked slightly. I pulled one of my guns from the holster.

"I need a man from each side," I called. Jonas hesitantly stood up. Another man was pushed from the New Era side.

"Now, gentlemen," I said, "I have a fun little game,"

"Ev, what are you doing..." Jonas whispered. I shot him a glare.

"Now , whoever speaks first gets the first shot," I said, morbidly.

"I don't think that's fair..." The other man said. I shot him in the head and he fell to the ground. Jonas looked at me and went dark.

"I said first shot, didn't I?" I asked Mark.

"It couldn't have been more clear, Pretty," He said.

"I love it when you call me that," I said smirking. A man came running up from behind me. I stuck the knife out, stabbing him in the chest.

"And I love it when you look at me like that," He said, shooting a few bullets behind him knocking out four men, "You're so hot,"

"Oh, baby, you want me?" I said to him. Flipping over a man and strangling him. He fell to the ground.

"Oh, yeah I do," He said, He hit a man with the back of his hand gun. I went normal.

"Focus, Mark focus," I called over the gun fire.

" I'm sorry, I'm sorry," he said. I swirled around him, shooting two men. I pulled the trigger, but no bullets came out.

"Damn it!" I yelled. I pulled the daggers out of their holders. I threw one hitting a man in the chest. I ran up with the other dagger and spun cutting another man's cheek. I ripped the knife out of the dead man's chest. I poised for an attack against the other man.

"Oh come on," He said, "Fight me!" I went dark. I screamed as I skillfully twisted the dagger through my fingers. I stabbed him with both daggers in the chest.

"At least make it a challenge for me..." I mumbled. I heard some trucks start. I looked behind me and the New Era was retreating. The yard was filled with cheering. I looked back at the man who I just killed. I knelt down and went through his pockets.

"What are you doing?" Mark, kneeling down and whispering into my ear.

"I taking what information I can off of him, We'll need it for later," I whispered back, looking into his eyes.

"I'll help you," He said, searching the pockets that I didn't look in.

"Ev," Mark said, looking down at a small piece of paper. I looked over and stopped searching.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Aaron's still alive," Mark said in fear.
