But...

I choked on my breath. I heard the back door open and I felt Mark's embrace around me. I shoved my head into his shoulder. He stroked my hair.

"No one will ever hurt you as long as I'm here," He said, "I promise,"

"But..." I started.

"Don't even argue with me, I can't see you like this anymore, I don't want you to scream in pain or in agony anymore, I want you to smile again," He said interrupting me, "I love you too much to let you go,"

I cried into his shoulder. I heard the back door open. I opened my eyes and grabbed the knife that was always in Mark's belt and held the blade flat against my forearm. I looked up to see a man that I had never seen before.

"I hate it here, Mark," I whispered into his ear.

"Me too," He whispered back.

"Excuse me, but you aren't supposed to be out here," The man said. I turned dark, jumping out of Mark's embrace and slamming the man against the wall. I held the knife to his throat.

"You can't tell me or him what to do," I said.

"I-I'm..." He started.

"Just because we agreed to work with you doesn't mean we agreed to listen, Got that?" I said, intensely. I pulled the knife away from his throat and let him go. He ran back inside and slammed the door behind him. Mark grabbed my hand and followed the frightened man.

"Come on Pretty," He said, his voice heavier than usual, "let's go get Jack,"

"Handsome..." I said, pulling my hand out of his, "I feel her pain,". Mark turned around and looked at me.

"Isn't that a good thing?" He asked.

"Not this pain..." The dark said, "It feels like there's a hole in my heart that I can't fill up," Mark went normal.

"That's because it's guilt," He said.

"What's guilt?" I asked, my voice dark.

"It's when you did something that you know you shouldn't have, it's the feeling you get when you hide something from someone,"

"I don't like this pain," I replied.

"No one does," Mark replied. I went normal and looked into Mark's eyes.

"She could feel it," I said, my voice breaking in the slightest. He looked down at me.

"Baby, I could feel it," He said. I let out a breath and smiled at him. I crawled under his arm and walked inside. I saw Jonas sitting at the counter drinking a cup of water.

"Hey, Jonas?" Mark questioned.

"Ya?" He replied

"Do you guys have any liquor?" Mark said, smiling.

"Hell yeah we do!" Jonas said tossing an entire, unopened, bottle of whiskey. Mark moved at lightning speed, catching the bottle. He smiled down at me.

"What would you say if I got drunk tonight with Jack?" He said

"Mark..." I started, I then stopped and grabbed his shirt pulling his lips close to mine, "If you get drunk, I'll be the one making you go to bed,"

"Oh really?" He said, grabbing my waist with one hand.

"Yeah, really," I said.

"And what would you do once you got me into bed?" He asked, looking down intently at me.

"I guess you'll have to find out once we get there," I said, back away from him. His mouth dropped open in the cutest way when he wanted something from me. I started to walk the other direction, swaying my hips in a way to only tease him. I turned to look over my shoulder to see Mark's mouth gaped wide. I rolled my eyes playfully. I turned my head to face forward again. I grabbed a blade off the counter near Jonas, whose mouth was also gaped wide. I threw the knife behind me hitting the cup out his hand. The knife then hit the bullet holed T.V.

"Eyes front soldier," I said, smirking a bit. I turned a corner to go up the stairs. Once I knew I was out of view I stopped to listen to the conversation between the to men I just awed.
