I woke up in the same position. I looked around the room. I saw Jack leaning against the wall holding his head.
"Morning," I whispered.
"You mean afternoon," Jack said, looking at me.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
"Ya, just got a bad hangover," He replied, "I remember I was drinking and I had a shock collar, and I put it on you," His eyes widened, "Oh,"
"Uh..." I stuttered out, looking for words to tell him that I was fine.
"I didn't," He said
"You did," I said. His head fell into his hands.
"I'm so sorry," He said, "I didn't mean to,"
"I'm fine," I said
"But, I-I..." Jack stumbled out.
"Jack," I said, strongly, "I'm. Fine," I felt Mark shift under me. I turned to face him. His eyes opened meeting mine.
"Morning," He said smiling. I smiled back and crawled off of him. And stood up. He stood up with me gripping my arm, making sure I didn't fall.
"Ready to go?" I asked.
"Ready," Mark said. I grabbed the bags off the floor and slipped the dagger in the rim of my jeans. We slowly started to head out the door. I was the first out and heard a gun cock.
"Found you," A voice said. I dropped my bag to the ground. I looked up to see a group of men with about six members. Mark followed me and was brutally pulled aside, along with Jack.
"What do you want?" I asked, "A prize? A reward?"
"Both," The man said holding the gun firmly to my temple. I slowly put my hands above my head. I kept my a steady eye on the man next to me.
"You're greedy," I said
"I guess I am," He said, grinning.
"Well, what are you to do with all of that money? Spend it?" I said, "No, there's no big houses to buy, no more expensive cars to waste money on, no more designer fashion, so what are you going to get out of it?" The man put the gun down. He edges closer to my ear.
"Pride," He said. His breath whipped off my ear, sending chills down my spine.
"Leave her alone," Mark said, trying to shake off the other men's grips. The man next to me perked up.
"So you're the hero," He said walking in front of Mark.
"Hero? No, She's the hero, I'm just here to make sure she gets out alive," Mark snapped back. The man nodded.
"What do you do?" He asked Jack.
"I just tag along," Jack replied.
"That's a lie," The man said turning back to me. I stood absolutely still.
"Let us go and I'll let you live," I said. The man started to laugh.
"You and what weapon, sweetheart?" He laughed.
"Can't you tell?" I said going dark, "I am the weapon," I pulled the knife out and through to the man directly behind him hitting him in the head. The man cocked the gun again pointing it at me.
"She's even more of a prize then we thought," He said. His men laughed.
"You want me alive right?" I said, grabbing the barrel of his gun.
"I could kill you now and they wouldn't think anything of it," He said through his teeth.
"Oh, I bet they would mind," I said slowly circling around to grab my dagger, "Currently, I, well she, is the wanted person ever, if you kill her, then you might as well die with me," I reached down grabbed the dagger and shoved it into the man's back. He let out a small groan.
"Who are you?" He choked out.
"Just another pretty face," I said through my teeth. My dark voice holding my words. I pulled the dagger out and turned around to see the rest of the men.
"Pretty," I heard Mark say.
"Yes, handsome?" I asked walking toward him.
"Should I kill the rest?" He asked eagerly.
"Please?" Jack joined in. I traced Mark's jawline. Then looked at Jack. Black eyes meeting.
"Make it quick," I said. The boys broke free and swirled in an image of pain. The normal came back and looked at what I did. Mark and Jack walked up to me going normal to.
