Maybe It's Mark

I woke up in bed next to Mark, yet I was Jack's room. I stood up. There were different t-shirts covering my wounds. I wasn't dizzy anymore, I just had a really bad headache. I had completely lost track of time. It was morning last time I checked. So that means it was night at the moment. I checked the window, I was right. I turned around and looked at Mark lying on the bed. He looked so peaceful. I went over to him stroking his hair. Kneeling down to the side of the bed touching his forehead with mine. I was so confused. Who did I love? I didn't need to make a choice now, but what about later? I sat there stroking Mark's black hair as gently as I could so I didn't wake him. He shifted moving his hand up to his face. I gently grabbed it with my right hand as my left hand played with his hair. I finally stood up and went to my side of the bed. I was tired but I didn't want to sleep.

Mark woke up and turned to me. I was sitting cross legged on the bed.

"Ev, it's like three in the morning," He said to me

"Uh... Can't sleep," I said. He got up and sat next to me.

"Look, uh... this is the first time you've been awake in 3 days," He said

"Three days," I was so unfazed. Nothing seemed to surprise me.

"Ethan took a real beating while you were out, ya know,"

"What did they do to him?"

"They used to shock collar, and they put onions on his eyes. They haven't stained him yet though,"

"Lucky him, where's Jack?"

"He chained himself in the basement for tonight,"

"Do you like me?" the question was completely out of the blue. I couldn't stop myself from saying it.

"Ya,"

"Then kiss me," I said it so calmly.

"What?"

"This is the first time I've been awake for three whole days, Jack is in the basement, he doesn't need to know," I was still staring into the dark corner of the room. I looked up and turned my head to Mark, who lunged himself at me pushing me back on the bed. His lips touching mine.
