Your POV

Beep! Beep!

Beep! Be-- SMACK!

I mumbled to myself, hitting my alarm clock. I didn't even need to open my eyes to know where it was at this point. I opened my eyes and sat up, trying to look for my glasses with my blurry vision. I found my glasses and slid them on my face, adjusting them slightly.

I got out of bed, making my way to my dresser, changing into (outfit above). I looked in the mirror, adjusting my suspenders and sliding on my black converse before going downstairs.

I ate a quick breakfast of (F/C) (cereal) in silence, seeing as my parents were both at work. After breakfast, I grabbed my (F/C) (color) and (S/F/C) bag and left the house, locking the door behind me.

As I walked, I couldn't help but find myself thinking about my crush, John Laurens, again. It was one thing liking one of the most popular guys in Yorktown High (I regret nothing). It was another when you were a shy nerd and his friends were complete *ssholes. Particularly to me. Only they bullied me for some reason. I never saw John with them when they were being bullies, though. Who knows.

I don't know what I did to them, because I did absolutely nothing for that fact. But here I was, constantly trying to hide from them.

I found myself in front of Yorktown High, ready for another week of (hopefully good) classes. I wasn't ready as usual though for John's friends. I heard someone call my name.

"(N/N)!"

I turned to see my best friend Peggy. Peggy was a sophomore along with me. I was surprised I could even get a Schuyler as my friend, but there was Peggy. I got along with her two sisters, but Peggy and I were the closest. She was a nerd, like me, but a rather popular one.

"Hey, Pegs!"

She ran up to me, holding her yellow bag. "How was your weekend?"

I shrugged. "Boring as usual. I already finished that essay Mr. Washington gave us... so yep."

"Of course you already finished that!"

We giggled and walked into the school, talking. We had the same homeroom, so that was nice. We put some things away and hurried into the classroom.

What was pretty interesting with Yorktown High was that everything was mixed up, except for P.E. All four grades were mixed together, even during homeroom. John was in our homeroom, and none of his bully-friends were, so that was a plus for me. John was in very few of my classes, but I still took that opportunity. Except in all those classes (but one), at least one of his friends was in it. What fun.

Peggy and I took our seats toward the front of the room, even though classes wouldn't be held here. We spent most of homeroom talking about our crushes, like usual. I ranted about John in a whisper (seeing as he was in the room somewhere), and Peggy talked about a girl she knew (nope it's not Maria).

Sadly, homeroom had to end, and I found myself traveling English class, waving goodbye to Peggy. I scurried into English class, taking my seat up front. I was the second one in there, the first one being Angelica. I waved to her, pulling out (F/B) from my bag. I opened to where I had left off and started reading until kids started coming in.

After everyone walked in, our teacher, Mr. Miranda (STILL REGRET NOTHING) hurried in less than a minute later, closing the door behind him. I closed my book, pushing it to the corner of my desk.

"Good morning, class! Please take out the book reports you started yesterday. You will be resuming those today; they're due Wednesday!"

Mr. Miranda sat at his desk as we took out our papers. Mine was already half-done. The benefits of loving school; you get things done fast.

I grabbed my pencil from my bag's side pocket and continued writing, glancing at the clock occasionally.

By the end of class, my report was 90% done. I was doing it on (F/B) of course, and I wanted to make sure it was very detailed.

I tucked my book in my bag, waiting for the rest of the class to file out as the bell rang. I slung my bag over my shoulder, walking to the door

"Bye Mr. Miranda!" I called, waving.

"Bye!" I heard Mr. Miranda call.

I walked out to find Peggy waiting for me so we could travel to our next class together: World Geography with Mr. Diggs (i'm having too much fun with this). Peggy grabbed my hand, pulling me to his classroom down the hall. We found ourselves to be the first ones in the class, Mr. Diggs already at his desk.

He smiled when he saw us. "You two are here early as usual!"

Peggy nodded. "Yep! I hate trying to get through the crowds if we wait."

"So do I..." I mumbled.

Mr. Diggs chuckled as we sat in the front, next to each other. We talked quietly until other kids walked in. I saw John walk in with Alexander and tried not to squeak when I saw him.

Peggy rolled her eyes playfully at me. My (E/C) eyes briefly met John's bright hazel ones by accident. He smiled softly at me and I looked away, a deep crimson crossing my face.

"Peggy he actually smiled at me!" I whisper-shouted, causing her to laugh.

"He did! I'm so proud of you!" she teased.

I smacked her arm as Mr. Diggs walked up to the front of the class. "Alright class! Today we're continuing our studies of France!"

I straightened my posture eagerly. France was one of my favorite places in the world.

As Mr. Diggs talked, I didn't notice two familiar boys looking at me every now and again.

But both of their glances were for different reasons...
