ten thousand reads? excuse me?

this book has over 500 votes, God knows how many comments, and over 10k reads. well I'll be damned. fricken beyond damned actually

you guys are some of the funniest, kindest humans I've ever had the pleasure of meeting, even if it's just over a screen of some kind.

writing has always been a bit on the confusing side hobby-wise. I used to write whatever, whenever, just for the audience of one person: myself. or sometimes my mom or older sister even. I never knew where it would take me.

and then I found Wattpad. and oh did I fall in love.

reading has always been a passion of mine. since I was a toddler, I've always found comfort in burying my face in a book of some kind. when I found Wattpad, a whole second world was introduced to me. I took joy in reading about the things I loved online. I started reading Aphmau fanfics, seeing as I was a huge Aphmau fangirl when I first started on Wattpad.

I loved seeing all the books with thousands of reads, and eventually I started wondering, "hey, what if I could write something?"

and I did! but it didn't last long.

after a while, I found Hamilton. my ELA teacher had been talking about poetry in class one day and she played a snippet of 'Alexander Hamilton'. now, rap isn't one of my favorite genres, but right off the bat, I was intrigued by the musical. so when I got home that day, I went on YouTube and searched for the soundtrack. and I was blown away (pun intended) by the time WLWDWTYS ended. so that was when my Hamilton search on Wattpad started.

after reading countless stories, just like with my Aphmau phase, I thought of writing my own. so on that fateful day in July, I did.

and look where we are now.

not even three months later, we are at 10k reads. and I do say 'we'. and I mean it. many of you have been here since my first few oneshots, and I thank you. I thank all of you, even if you just got here yesterday. I thank you for taking the time to read the things I put out. I thank you for making me laugh with your comments, for all your requests, and for motivating me to push through writer's block. 10k is big, and I'm glad you're all here in your own way. because without you guys, I probably wouldn't have continued past my first few oneshots. so thank you for turning my little hobby into something more.
