Your POV

For as long as I could possibly remember, I had wanted to be in the military. I wasn't like the other girls. I wasn't a fan of dresses, I didn't like dolls or later on, gossiping about the latest drama with some girl's boyfriend. Instead, I was among the boys. I was playing sports, racing them down the track, and acing gym class alongside them. And then I found the Air Force once I reached high school. The rest is history.

Now, I was finally living out my childhood dreams. BMT was finally finishing up, and I was one step closer to being flight commander. I started as a recruit and, through a lot of effort, managed to work my way up. I was finally getting commissioned!

Even though I was no stranger to BMT, it always took a moment to get my *ss into full gear. Eight weeks of no technology, learning how to handle yourself in any situation, and long, long hours of physical training. Not for the faint of heart.

After all eight weeks are said and done (jefferson has hair, burr has none-- fvck sorry continue), we ran three miles (to honor those who before us). Going back, we changed into our - more - proper uniforms so we could march back on out to get medals and even a rank change.

Standing ready for the medals, it took a moment, but I found my parents and my little sister, as well as four familiar boyfriends. Today would be one of the first times I'd show them around in a long while; I usually didn't, as home always seemed very tempting at the end of each BMT before I had to leave again.

One day, I'd find a way to put my boys through a BMT session. Not all eight weeks, but something just to give them a good sense. They'd sharpen up for sure.

~ after award thingys bcuz I don't wanna screw something up on accident lmao ~

The whole 'graduation' - as it was called - finally wrapped up. I got special recognition for my position change. Now it was the "tap out". I stood with my platoon and couldn't move anywhere until someone if my family came and tapped my shoulder.

Quinn was poking our mom, and it didn't take much to know she wanted to do the 'honors' of tapping me. After a nod from our mother, she came running over.

The fourteen-year-old approached me, practically beaming. She tapped my shoulder. "Freedom for you!"

Biting back a smile, I moved so I stood directly in front of her, saluting sharply. "Second Lieutenant (L/N), reporting for big sister duty."

Quinn laughed, hugging me. "Stop leaving for so long, (N/N)!"

"Sorry, Quinny. Gotta do my job somehow."

She cracked a smile, leading me to our waiting parents and my boyfriends.

"Well look who it is, Miss I-can-now-lead-a-platoon," my dad chuckled.

I shrugged. "Hey, what can I say? You're not wrong."

I was pulled into a hug by both parents, afterwards giving each boyfriend a hug. "Hello loves. I missed you four."

John smiled. "We missed you too. Every time Laf saw a plane he pouted."

Laf sent him a look. "I did not! You're one to talk about pouting, mon cœur."

He looked at me, leaning towards me. "He was the one being upset all this time," Laf whispered to me.

I raised an eyebrow. "To be fair, I know damn well all of you get upset every. Single. Time I go away."

The four of them exchanged looks, smiling sheepishly.

"However, I think Laf's right. Either John or Herc."

John's freckled cheeks dusted a light pink and Herc chuckled sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck.

"You're so mean sometimes," John pouted.

"John's right.." Herc muttered.

I adjusted my hat, smiling cockily. "I do it out of love."

"Or you could just not leave anymore," Alex suggested teasingly.

"Funny, sweetheart. I love you guys, but I'll leave in a heartbeat if there's an emergency in the military."

"I don't know if I'm 'urt or 'onored by that," Laf responded.

I snickered, giving each one of them a brief kiss. "Be honored. Regardless, I'm showing you guys around unlike last year. There's plenty to see!"

-

"This is the obstacle course, right here." I motioned to the line of bars, platforms, and ropes. (idk bear with me)

"Looks tedious," Herc commented.

I snickered. "You have no idea. Trying doing this course more than once."

"You're so bad*ss," John muttered, giving me a quick kiss and lingering before he pulled back. "I love you."

"Yeah yeah, whatever. There's still more to see, so c'mon!"

~

"She's certainly someone," Laf commented, grinning.

"But that's why you guys chose her," said woman's father replied with a laugh.

"And why you asked for permission," her mother added with a knowing smile.

The four men nodded, the Frenchman showing the slightest sliver of a box from his pocket. The young teen with them looked at the box, excitement in her light eyes. "Ooo!"

It dropped out of sight again, the holder laughing. "Well c'mon, everyone. We don't want to keep notre cœur waiting."

I'm 90% sure this came out as trash--

I thought I'd have an easier time with this but writer's block plus my lack of military knowledge rlly bit me in the *ss lmao. I can do fluff tho that was the easy part

I apologize if this wasn't all 'air force', but know I did try my hardest lol. I hope y'all enjoy this tho and i'll cya guys next time!
