I looked up at the mirror, staring at my shocked reflection and Eliza's satisfied one. My (H/C) locks were curled and styled wonderfully into (style of choice)(unless it's short in which do whatever works for you).
"Wow Liza... this is wonderful!" I exclaimed.
"Betsy really did a stunning job; it compliments your dress nicely!" Angelica added, smiling.

Peggy giggled. "Yes! The blue will go charmingly with John's uniform; if he wasn't helpless already he's going to be now!"
"Oh yes. You look like a goddess as is, (N/N), but now you look like you came from a whole new world!" Angelica mused. 'You could say that,' I thought, grinning to myself.
I stood up from the stool I had been perched on, and Peggy took my place. She looked at me, a sparkle in her warm brown eyes. "Can you put my hair up, (N/N)?"
I laughed. "Sure Peggy."

General Schuyler appeared in the doorway. "Good evening, girls. You all look beautiful!"
"Thank you, Pa. I'm hoping the ball goes well tonight," Eliza responded.
"It'll be fine, Elizabeth. It'll be a good time for all of us."
"I'm sure it will, General Schuyler," I spoke.
He chuckled. "The ball is set to begin within a few minutes. I suggest you four ladies go downstairs."
