Your POV
It was interesting to say that I was dead- an angel. It was even more interesting to say no one knew, not even my closest friend, Lin-Manuel Miranda. Neither him or the rest of the Hamilton cast (other good friends of mine) knew. I had even helped him create the costumes, my role being the person who fixed up and cleaned costumes. Needless to say, I was actually quite happy.
But Lin not knowing would change, starting today.
I walked into the Richard Rodgers, my wings hidden under my fall coat. I walked into my special little costume room, taking off my coat and sighing in relief as my feathery white wings spread out. I had just put my coat on a chair when I heard someone walk in. I turned to see Lin, who looked very perplexed.
"Hey Lin!" I greeted.
He waved. "Hey (N/N)... if you don't mind me asking... Halloween was yesterday, why are you still wearing your costume?"
I played along with him. "I'm... not wearing one?"
His eyes widened slightly. "Correct me if I'm wrong, but you didn't have wings yesterday."
I straightened up, sending a mischievous smile at him. "Not that you could see."
"Wait wait wait... does that mean--?"
"You're dreaming? No. I'm an angel? Yes," I spoke.
I couldn't help but laugh at the expression on Lin's face. "So you... you... wow."
I cracked up. Lin started laughing as well, and it took a moment for us to calm down.
Lin looked at me. "Does that mean you've been... dead.. the whole time I've known you?"
"Pretty much."
"So I've been working with an actual angel this whole time? I mean I thought you were as nice as one but I didn't think you were one!" Lin exclaimed.
I giggled. "Surprise surprise!"
Lin cracked a smile. "Angels aren't real my *ss," he said to himself, making me laugh more.
He looked back at me. "I'll see you in a bit, (N/N). Gotta gather everyone for rehearsals."
I nodded. "See ya soon~!"
He shot me a smile before walking out. As I was looking over the costumes I heard his voice shout,
"Angels aren't real my *ss! Fight me Halloween!"
I started laughing and heard some more laughter down the hall. I couldn't help but think Lin was also an angel; not a real one of course -like me-, but the best friend I could ask for.
