Your POV

"What's a woman like you doing in a place like this?"

I looked up as a woman sat on the bar stool next to me. She had long, curly locks of dark brown hair and matching dark eyes. Her lips were tinted this dark cherry red, and everything about her said 'goddess'.

I tried to not look surprised. "Oh, just like most of the other people here. Break-up."

"Mind telling a complete stranger?"

"Ah, well, he couldn't keep it in his pants, y'know?" I snickered at myself. "Mulligan sunk back into his old ways."

"Hercules Mulligan?" the woman asked, seeming a bit surprised.

I nodded. "Yep."

"Huh. My ex is dating his best friend."

"Small world," I responded, sipping my drink.

"I don't know why he'd cheat. You're gorgeous," she told me bluntly after a moment, a charming smile on her face.

I scoffed, but tried to hide a smile regardless. "Oh please. You're just being nice."

"Nope. You seem like a charming, intelligent woman. What's not to compliment, darling?"

Trying to hide my flustered expression, I picked up my drink again. Looking up at the woman, she smirked, winking. 'Oh f*ck..'

I set my drink down, taking a breath. "(Y/N) (L/N). Pleasure to meet you."

I held out my hand, and she took it, only to place a kiss on it. "Maria Lewis. The pleasure's all mine."

"Y'know what? I'm doing good with you already."

"What're you thinkin' about?"

I looked up to see Maria looking at me from her spot next to me on the park bench.

"When we met in the bar. Such a flirt, Ria."

Maria smirked lightly. "As if you don't flirt either. I was just making the first move."

"Trying to swoop a girl off her feet right after a break-up? Risqué, sweetheart."

"Only for you," she teased.

"Damn enjoyable too," I replied back, and she winked.

I stood up after a moment, holding out my hand. "C'mon."

"Is this going to lead to something sensual?"

"Nope. You wish though," I snickered.

Maria took my hand, and we walked down one of the paths. After walking for a bit, I stopped, letting go of her hand. She looked at me confused until I pulled myself onto a low-ish tree branch.

"Am I supposed to climb up there with you?" she joked.

"Make my girlfriend climb a tree in a dress? I'm not that mean," I answered, laughing.

I made sure I wouldn't fall before hanging upside down, just level with Maria's face.

Maria laughed. "What're you doing?"

"Trying to kiss you?"

She laughed more. "You're so going to fall, gorgeous."

I rolled my eyes playfully. "Shut up and kiss me. This makes me lightheaded a bit."

"Gladly."

Maria placed her hands on either side of my face, kissing me gently. After a few moments, we broke the kiss, bursting into giggles.

"I feel like Spiderman," I mumbled, swinging myself up after a beat.

"You're a beautiful Spiderman," Maria replied.

"Well you're beautiful...ler."

She laughed. "You should either get out of the tree or lean down again so I can kiss you again."

I snickered, securing myself again before leaning back again. Maria kissed my nose.

"How are you feeling while doing that?" she asked after a beat.

"Well, I'm feeling good with you," I answered.

Maria smiled, stepping forward and kissing me again. Feeling good indeed.
