Your POV

Being Thomas Jefferson's daughter was certainly something. By something I mean him constantly bickering about Alexander Hamilton, and even his son sometimes, Phillip. If only my father knew what secrets I was hiding from him.

What my father didn't know was that my boyfriend was Phillip Hamilton, and frequently visited the Hamilton household. Despite me being a Jefferson, Alexander warmed up to me quickly, saying I "was nothing like my annoying and pain in the *ss father". Maybe it was because I loved to read and write. Maybe it was because, unlike my father, I respected him and thought he was pretty cool. Who knows.

Seeing as I was courting Phillip, I was pretty good at lying and sneaking around, if I do say so myself. My father surprisingly doesn't question the daily letters I get. However, even if he did, I kept them in a hidden spot in my room. Despite the secrets I was living a good life!

Currently, my father was getting ready in his room. He was preparing for a Cabinet meeting, and I was determined to go with him, because I knew Phillip usually always went with Alexander, but he told me yesterday he'd be going.

I knocked on his door. "Father? May I come in?"

"Sure thing, darlin'!"

I opened his door and poked my head in. He was pulling on his signature bold magenta coat. I stepped into his bedroom, clasping my hands together in front of me. "I had a question for you.."

Father turned around after adjusting his coat. "Yes?"

"May I accompany you to the Cabinet meeting?"

He looked taken aback a moment at my question, but quickly regained his composure. "I don't see why not... Why do you want to accompany me, darlin'?"

"I just wanted to see what happens at these meetings of yours, Father," I lied.

Father seemed to buy it. "I don't know if you'll be allowed in there, but we can try. Go freshen up! I don't wanna be late!"

I nodded. "Thank you!" I scurried out of his room, going to my own. I decided to change into a lightly-shaded (F/C) dress. After brushing through my (H/C) hair, I pinned some of it back and put on some white flats (I highly doubt they wore flats but deal with it ya do in this one). I also put on a white shawl and quickly looked in the mirror. I looked pretty cute. Let's hope my father didn't get the wrong idea.

I left my room to find Father by the door. "You ready?" he asked.

I nodded. "Yeah!" I walked over to him and we left the house.

On the way there, my father waved to the occasional person, and I did too, but we got there pretty quickly.

As soon as we entered, I spotted a couple familiar people. James Madison, General Washington, and Alexander and Phillip Hamilton. Phillip saw me and tried not to smile, almost failing. Him and Alexander knew what I was hiding from my father so they did their best to not let it show in public that they liked me.

Phillip was wearing a light blue coat and black pants, and I found myself also trying not to smile.

Father saw the Hamiltons and looked at me. "Might as well introduce you while you're here..." Oh if only he knew...

He grabbed my arm gently and brought me over to the two Hamiltons. Alexander saw us coming over and turned toward us. "Jefferson," he said, nodding his head. I could tell he was trying to be polite.

"Hamilton," my father replied. I could tell he too was trying. Father looked at me, then at them. "This is my daughter."

I curtsied, trying to not grin. "(Y/N) Jefferson. Pleasure to meet you."

Both of them I saw were hiding smiles. Alexander shook my hand. "Alexander Hamilton." Phillip bowed slightly. "Phillip Hamilton. Pleased to met you m'lady." I could feel my cheeks heating up.

Father looked at Phillip, then at Alexander. "Control your son please. I don't want him flirting with my daughter."

The two Hamiltons and I exchanged glances, all thinking the same thing. 'If only he knew what we knew."

Alexander was about to speak up, when General Washington approached us. "Time for the meeting." He looked at us. "(Y/N), Phillip, it's nice to see you two again. However, you two cannot enter the meeting room, my apologies. It's private business." Phillip and I nodded.

Father glanced at Phillip. "Watch what you do with my daughter." With that, everyone walked into the room, leaving Phillip and I alone. Phillip looked at me and grinned. "You look beautiful today, (N/N)."

I giggled. "You don't look bad yourself, Pip."

He smiled and looked around a moment. "Wanna get out of here? Too boring here. We could go to my home. My mom is there."

I nodded. "Sounds good!"

Phillip linked arms with me and we walked out of the building to the Hamilton estate.

When we got in, I already heard bustling in the kitchen. "Mom! I'm home with (Y/N)!" The noise in the kitchen seized and I saw Eliza. "Hello dear! It's nice to see you again!"

I smiled. "You too, Eliza."

Phillip looked at me. "Wanna head up to my room?"

"Okay!"

We made our way up to his room, and we laid on his bed after taking off our shoes. We were facing each other, fingers intertwined.

"Aren't secrets just fun, Pip?" I asked jokingly.

Phillip laughed, and tugged me closer. "Yeah. But if it's keeping you then it's all worth it."

I was sure Father would find out eventually, we could only play this game for so long. But being able to cuddle up to Phillip and call him mine made it all worth it.
