If I was to write you a song,

Would you listen,

Would you open your heart

And find the meaning?

If I told you my life,

Would you care?

Whatever I say or do,

Will you pay attention?

I doubt it.

Most people are selfish.

But if you wrote a song,

I’d listen,

I’d find the meaning.

If you told me your life,

I’d sit and listen.

I’d pay attention to you.
