Seeing you walk away,
Keeps hurting me,
Even if it's the hundredth time.
Watching you leave,
Not being able to truly embrace you.
God...
This hurts beyond words.
I remember,
Kissing you so hungrily.
Wanting to keep you for the rest of my life.
Holding you,
One last time.
It was such a bitter sweet thing to swallow.
Making love,
One last time.
It felt like how it used to,
Till I opened my eyes once again.
Soft,
Quiet and sweet words,
That were so simple,
Floated off my tongue,
To your ears.
The small phrase of affection,
And aspiration,
Spilled out.
I love you.
Just as it spilled out,
My glass heart,
Shattered.
I gave in,
And fell harder in love.
Feeling your body,
Slowly get closer to mine,
I stuffed a sob,
Just to enjoy your presence...
Even if it was just a dream.
