It was the evening of October 22nd.
The sunset was beautiful tonight.
The sun,
Slowly sinks into the river.
The moon,
Reluctantly rises,
Casting off an eerie glow.
The trees and mountains,
All painted,
Beautiful dark colors.
The stars start to rise.
The evening is still young,
As the people gather into the sanctuary.
The sanctuary filled with love and prayers,
Happiness and thoughts for tomorrow.
Hopes and prayers for the future,
And what they may hold.
People pile in,
With quiet murmurs,
Talk excitedly.
Mothers and Fathers,
Beaming and eyes filled with tears.
A grand hush fills the church as a song plays.
There he is,
Standing at the alter with the Preacher,
The preacher smiling as the doors open,
And in comes the bridesmaids,
Throwing the rose petals on the floor.
Making a beautiful pathway for the bride.
Then, all eyes turn back to the door,
And there she stands.
She's in all white,
And a silent tear rolls down her cheek.
She slowly starts to walk up the aisle,
Saying a silent prayer.
As she strolls up the aisle she feels people's eyes upon her,
She becomes a bright red.
Taking a deep breath,
She takes her last step to the alter,
And sees her groom for the first time that day.
As she stares into his eyes,
Draining out and blocking any sound in the back ground,
She doesn't even here the preacher asking him if he will take her to be his wife.
All she hears,
Is the I do.
And all she says is I do.
Tears slowly roll down her cheeks.
He gently grabs onto her hands,
And they step a little bit closer...
He starts to say her name,
Then goes into,
Sweet Girl,
Love of my life,
I have loved you for so long.
And I have waited impatiently for this day to arrive.
I can't believe today is the day.
But,
I want to tell you,
I vow to Never leave you,
I vow to never hurt you.
I vow to always support you and to never let you carry a burden on your own.
I prayed to God,
And he sent me you.
I don't know what I'd do without you.
I love you so much.
I look forward to waking to you next to me.
I love you so so so much.
And up there at the alter,
In front of everyone.
She felt so vunerable and blessed,
More tears rolled down.
She gently wiped them away,
And replied with,
Honey,
I love you so much.
I am so blessed to have you in my life.
I am so blessed to be,
Standing here,
In white.
In front of you.
I am so blessed to have found my forever.
She gently squeezed his hand,
In a slight whisper,
She said,
My beloved,
I Vow to never give up on us.
I vow to be your help meet,
And help you carry every burden you gain.
I vow to be the one to sit up all night,
Praying with you,
When you are stressed.
I vow to always love and cherish you.
I vow to give you my all.
I vow to always support you.
Babe,
I vow to love you through the thick and thin.
I vow to stay through the sickness and health.
You are my forever.
And today marks the forever.
Just like the day we got together,
Under the tree.
I promise to never let go of you.
I love you so much.
And as she finished speaking,
The crowd slowly wiped their eyes as the preacher exclaimed,
You may kiss your bride.
