He Isn't Worth It 12-30-17

I curse the dawning sun,
And the fading moon.
I curse the tears,
Running down my face.
The hot tears,
Burning wet streaks
Down my red puffy cheeks.

She never asks
How I feel,
Or what I think.
A stubborn,
Selfish woman she is.

It hurts me,
Making me cry,
And die inside.
My heart or ripping,
And now breaking
As you say,
People change in time.

But a snake,
Will shed its skin,
And will always be the same snake,
Just different skins,
Never changing who it truly is.

He's still the sly fox he was,
Many, many, years ago.
It hurts me,
And I wish she would listen to me...
I may be a young girl,
Not understanding love and attractions.

But I remember always being in trouble.
Blamed for everything...
The fighting and yelling,
The hurtful words,
The beating,
And the breaking down of confidence...
