Sometimes,
I look at our last conversation...
And I remember how much I love you.
I look at how I did my best,
To keep you from blaming yourself.
I wanted you happy,
And thriving.
I want you to keep going,
And never look back.
No matter how much I want you in my present...
We are history.
I still love you
And will always love you...
But you need to keep going.
Don't let my memory hold you back.
You were so perfect and innocent...
And I made you rotten.
I made you become something you weren't.
I cut you in,
So you could fit.
I cut myself
So I'd fit...
We were in it together...
But things got between us...
Drifting us apart.
Insecurities and thoughts
Made us break apart.
It wasn't our faults...
It's just life.
