Sad isn't it?
Everything goes away after awhile.
But,
We all know the sun will come up again tomorrow.
Yet,
It's never the same.
Never identical to the day before.
Just like every experience,
And every life lived. As I sit here alone,
Watching the sunset,
I become lost in thought.
Feeling alone and lost.
As if I am stuck,
And can't do anything.
I feel helpless,
Hurt.
I become at peace,
Just like the peace people come to,
Before dying.
I become so empty,
That I long to be someone else.
Or even...
Something else.I look to the clouds,
Wondering how it feels to be a bird.
As I hear a bird's cry,
I wonder how it feels to live to fly.
I hear the cricket's chirp.
Then I wonder,
How it would feel to hop in the grass.
Or how it would feel to be surrounded by the long blades of the grass.I smell the moisture in the air,
I wonder how it would feel to be let go,
By the clouds of the sky.
Then,
Reality pulled me back.
The empty place in my chest,
Makes my eyes open and well up with tears.Walking in the dark,
Wearing a hoodie,
I feel invisible.
Causing my tears to burn,
As they slowly leak.Listening to my own footsteps,
I wonder how,
I used to be able to walk with someone,
And never notice how loud my steps truly are.Even when you climb a tree,
You won't feel close to God.
The more you think,
The more you become a prisoner to your mind.
And the very last kiss?
Its always the most bitter sweet,
Of all the kisses.So,
When I see the lone star above.
I think,
Isn't it sad that he's alone?
But I feel like,
I am that star.
I shine alone...
