Can I lay my head upon your chest?
Can you hold my heart?
Can I hide my face in your arms?
I promise not to let you see me cry.
I'll just close my eyes,
And let myself fall.
I won't scream or cry,
But I'll fall, free fall.
Off that ledge,
Off the bridge.
And off the face of this Earth.
I'll let myself go,
And I'll let my heart go,
I'll let your love fly free,
And I'll step back.
I'll just watch you let me go.
And I won't fight,
I promise...
Just as long as you tell me you love me.
I'll get up,
And walk out that door,
Never looking back.
I'll torture myself,
Wondering I you're okay.
But I'll leave you be,
So you can grow...
Free fall,
Off my throne.
