I'm in the car right now and ready to go home. Si Akira din, baka paalis na siya ngayon, I just don't know kung si Ymir ba ang susundo sa kanya or si Lexus or what.

Hindi ko alam, but breathing in, I found some peace in my mind at naramdaman na patapos na ang mga bad things na mangyayari. After all, tsaka ko lang din narealize na gagraduate na pala kami in a few months.

I unlocked my phone at planong itetext sana si Theia, but then I remembered that she went to the States leaving no available contact between us.

Mag isa ko lang dito sa car with the driver, kaya naman antahimik at wala akong kausap. I want to see my friends, but I will have to go home first.

I looked out the window and then waited for some scenery outside that could spark my interest, when the sight was blocked with a person in suit and tie. Bumukas naman ang door at agad kong narealize na nasa bahay na pala ako.

Parang ang bilis naman?

"We're here, Miss Kane," sabi nung driver, and I smiled at him before taking his hand na nagsusuggest ng assistance.

Nang makalabas na ako ay bumungad sa akin ang refreshing sound of the fountain na nagpapalabas ng tubig. Ang sarap sa pandinig ng bawat pagtama ng tubig, and the sight was much more wonderful.

Iginala ko pa ang aking mga mata, at nakita ang mga puno na nasa boundaries ng lupa namin. The front yard is sure as hell magical, at ang hirap isipin na walang kung anong bata O teenager na bubungad sa akin at iaalis nanaman ako sa tahanan ko.

"Ready to see your father again, Miss Kane? I heard you have a visitor?" Sabi nung driver, at nagulat naman ako habang naglalakad at sinasabayan niya ako.

The patterned pathway we're walking on looked like it was very interesting to me as of now. They're tempting me to go inside my home, my home that I haven't seen in a while.

"Visitor? Who? I'm not expecting someone," I said, not turning my head against him yet walking faster.

He chuckled slightly, and then opened the double doors of the front door. Nagulat naman ako dahil narito na pala kami. Parang ang bilis kasi. Or am I just not paying much attention to my surroundings lately?

"They're in your father's office inside, Miss Kane. Good luck, have a smile," he said, at nagtaka naman ako.

Nasa office ni dad? Sino yun?! Hala hala Hala. Paano kapag...? Oh no.

Agad naman akong patakbong nagpunta towards dad's office, ignoring the pleas of the maids na huwag akong tatakbo dahil madadapa ako. I don't care.

Nang mapuntahan ko ang door ng office ni dad, hinihingal ako at kinakabahan. I raised my fist to knock on the door, at nang kumatok ako ay agad na bumukas ang pinto.

Bumungad sa akin ang malamig na hangin and my father sitting on his leather sofa with his hands interlaced with each other. He had a not so serious expression across his face, which surprised me.

Sanay ako na seryoso siya, pero ngayon ay tila nawala ang pagkaseryoso niya.

Tinignan ko naman ng dahan dahan kung sino ang kausap niya, at bigla akong nagulat. It seems like today is full of surprises.

"Dad? Tavi? What's the matter?" I asked, at parehas na napunta sa akin ang paningin nilang dalawa.

Bigla naman na dumiretso ng upo si dad and motioned for me to come in so I did. Pagkapasok ko ay agad na sumara ang pintuan.

"Come sit here, Gabrielle. We have a lot to talk about, especially with Mr. Octavian over here," said dad, and I hesitantly sat down beside him.

I gave Tavi a questioning look, and he just simply smiled at me as if there was nothing I need to worry about.

"Hmm, so Mr. Octavian here has told me a lot about you. I guess he knows you... better than I do," dad said, at napataas naman ang mga kilay ko.

"Tavi or simply Octavian or Apollo is fine, sir," said Tavi, at napangiti naman ako. He really is a polite kid, and it always puts a smile on my face.

"Then, simply Tito is fine. Or Dad na rin," sabi ni dad, kaya naman hindi ko napigilan ang sarili ko at napalo siya.

"Dad!" I exclaimed, at sabay na tumawa sila ni Tavi. "What happened to you, both? Akala ko you don't like Tavi, dad?"

"Used to. Hindi ko naman siya nabigyan ng tyansa nuon at mas pinili si Lexus. I guess Lexus is in good hands now right?" Sabi ni dad, and I slowly nodded.

"About lunch, Tito, tuloy po tayo?" Sabi niya, at nagtaka naman ako. Nawala lang ako, they're already buddy buddies. Nakakapagtaka naman.

"Tuloy na Tuloy. Actually, hinintay lang natin ang binibini na to," sabi ni dad, at tumingin sakin, "Gabrielle, dear, magbihis ka na. We're going to have lunch with the Solaces."

"R-Really? Wh-"

"Octavian and I have an announcement. Hurry up," sabi ni dad so I just obeyed his orders.

Kaharap ko ngayon sa seat si Gabrielle, as we are having lunch with our families. Nagulat nga ako, kasi sa mall ng mga Zin ang pinuntahan namin. Apparently, may famous five star restaurant din pala ang mga Zin.

Nanginginig ako kaya ibinulsa ko ang mga kamay ko. I am wearing a suit at ramdam ko ang mga nakabulsa sa suit ko. Kinakabahan ako.

But still, it is a good thing that I am in good terms with Gabrielle's dad.

Iginala ko ang paningin ko sa table namin at nakita ang mga magulang namin na pormal na nag-uusap. Nagtama ang paningin namin ni Tito, at binigyan niya ako ng isang pormal na ngiti kaya sinuklian ko naman ito.

Nakuha ang attention naming lahat when Tito picked up his wine glass and tapped his spoon on it.

He cleared his throat, at nag-umpisa nang magsalita kaya ginapangan na ako ng takot.

"If I could catch your attention, please?" Sabi ni Tito, at napalunok ako. Bigla akong kinabahan to the point na parang may nakaharang sa aking lalamunan. "Octavian, I believe it's your position to say this."

Tumango naman ako, at huminga ng malalim bago kinlaro ang lalamunan ko.

"Dad, mum, I went to Mr. Kane to ask for a very special thing. And fortunately, he accepted my offer. So here I am, sitting before you and announcing that I, Apollo Octavian Solace, have asked Gabrielle's hand for marriage once we are in the right age." I said, and shakily pulled out the velvet box from my coat pocket and showed them the diamond ring that I have bought ages ago before shit even started to happen.

I felt Mr. Kane's hand on my shoulder, at nakita ko ang mga magulang ko na hinahawakan ang isa't isa para suporta. Mum was crying, and it brought a smile to my face because I know that she wanted me to do this, too. So was dad.

Gabrielle, however, was stunned, and didn't know what to do, so I just gave her a sweet smile, and closed the velvet box.

Maybe today marks the best day of my life.
