Promises

Never break a promise. A broken promise leads to broken dreams and a broken heart. A broken promise can change someone's day or even state of mind. A broken promise is a dirty way to screw someone up. Examples of broken promises can be the promise of being with someone and loving them when you were saying the same to someone else the whole time they were saying it to you. Or it could be promising to help someone through hardships but when the problem arises you drop them like they're nothing and let them got on the ground.

I've yet to break a promise like that. I've yet to make someone crumble inside. I've been to busy breaking apart like a hot cookie. Crumbling to pieces while my loose insides try keep me together by the tightest bond they can. And even when I manage to pull myself back together I will never be the same. Leaving me for someone else? Seems like something that's impossible in the moment. But as soon as the day arises it breaks your heart and beats you day after day letting you know you weren't good enough. It hits people you were with next letting them know you have no trust. The last person distrusted you so what's saying you won't.

I can't believe it. The dirty smiles that were fake. The few moments I had holding her in my arms where I felt happy then she destroyed me after two years. It hurts knowing this time it's different yet it feels like the same could happen. I feel like any second I could see her with someone else. Everyone else is better than me. I can't provide anything that he can. I can't protect her more than this person. I think all of this but the moment she's with me it's different.

I feel as though I'm the only one.
