Enticing

That bridge is coming into my head every day now. Every moment of dullness and weakness is accompanied by the cold air upon it. The bridge chains me to the brick barrier and pulls my eyelids back so i stare down to the barrier's. The smell of cigarette smoke wisps and sneaks around my nostrils, a dance of the dead attempts to pull me down and suffocates me with the passers. The sacred suffocation entices me.

Slowly leaning me over the edge. The rusty barriers to the barreling metal ram sit below me. The scream of the ram is all i hear and its thumping hooves, six per compartment, Tumbling down its confined narrow path. The Bright white eyes blare out before it, lighting up deaths row before it. It flies out from before me and cold air rushes up and poisons me, leaving goosebumps across my face.  Each bump a thought or belief of relief that the ionic ram could bring to me. This robotic creature piloted by one just like me, carrying more like me, to end one like me, is all i want. The endless ram finally seems to pass and fly round the bend without scraping its hooves once.

Once it's passed thoughts climb into my mind about facing the ram head on. The ram can save me, carry me from here to a place more suited for someone like me. They would understand surely that this is better for me, Wouldn't they? The ram screams in the distance in assurance and for the first time in a while a smile creeps up on my and slathers my face. The rams fuel slips from my eyelid and crawls down my face. Eventually they only fall down onto its controlling barriers, lubricating them for the rams next run through. I muster up the last of my strength and sit upon the barricade. My body shakes in euphoria and I hear the next rams scream.

And i lean.

And i fall.

And i stare the ram in the eyes.

It screams.

I smile.

Goodnight beautiful mechanical ram.
Let your plating be my bed forevermore.
Goodnight beautiful mechanical ram.
Let me sleep in peace forevermore.
