Peter went home after the agreement was set, and found Kathryn sitting at their dining table looking for jobs. She was going to apply at a few firms so she wasn't stuck around the house all day long with nothing to do.
"Hey." He spoke, as he sat the bag of groceries Kathryn told him to get before he came home.
"Hello. How did the meeting go?" She asked.
"It went really well. Liv and I agreed from the start." Peter spoke. He started to unpack the items, as Kathryn looked up from her laptop.
"Really?" She questioned.
"Yeah. Till the baby is one, he or she will be living with Liv full time. She wants to have a strong bond with the baby, and I do too so I'll be over there spending time with the baby. Then once the baby turns one, we will be doing shared custody." Peter spoke.
"You aren't going to be spending time over there, Peter," Kathryn spoke. He turned around quickly and eyed her.
"I am going to be over there to spend time with my child, not make another one." He huffed. He was tired of her making it sound like wanting to be involved in the baby's life and keeping a healthy co-parenting relationship with Olivia couldn't happen.
"Peter, she'll want you if you are over there more often." Kathryn spat.
"Olivia and I know what we are doing. And, by the way, stop shit talking Olivia. If you do that around the baby, she won't let you be around it, okay?" Peter spat, before leaving the kitchen and slamming the door into his office.
---
"Okay, so Noah, you and I need to talk," Olivia spoke. She and Noah were eating dinner the night after the custody meeting, and she wanted to discuss how the baby wasn't going to be living with them all the time.
"About what, Momma?" Noah asked, as he reached out and grabbed his glass before finishing his water off. Olivia stood and filled his cup again, before sitting it back in front of him.
"About the baby." She spoke, as she shifted a bit in her chair.
"Momma?" He asked, tearfully. She knew what he was asking.
"Honey, the baby is fine! Don't worry about that." She said, as she reached out and ran her hand over his curls.
"Are you sure?" He questioned.
"Yes. I'm sure. Honey, this is about something else regarding the baby." She frowned.
"Okay." He frowned back. He set his fork down and looked over at his mother. He could tell she was nervous.
"Baby, once the baby is older, after it's first born, it's going to start living here and at Peter's." She spoke.
"What? Why?! It's my sister." He spoke. After Olivia and Peter stopped contacting each other, Noah decided that he'd call the baby his sister because he wanted a baby sister so badly.
"I know, but it's my baby and also Peter's. So, the baby will be here during the week, and with Peter during the weekend. Peter is also going to come over on Wednesday nights when the baby is here with us and have dinner." Olivia spoke.
"No. He is not going to take my baby sister!" Noah screamed. He didn't understand at all. He swiped his glass from the table and water went everywhere. Noah ran out of the kitchen, his chair slamming to the ground, and his mother yelling after him.

One Month Later
Peter stood in one of the spare rooms in the Catholic church he and Kathryn were getting married in. He was fixing his tie and deciding on what cufflinks he wanted to wear. He was nervous, and he felt like something was going to happen to lead to them not getting married.
Peter eventually decided on the cufflinks his father used to wear all the time, and then he sat down and retied his shoes. Down the hall, he could hear the laughter of Kathryn's family and he knew she was so excited to get married, but he still so unsure and nervous.
A knock sounded on his door, and he slowly walked over and opened it.
"Olivia?" Peter asked, and she swallowed hard as she stepped past him and into the room.
"I don't want Kathryn to see me out in the hall." She spoke, as she kept her voice low.
"Okay, but what are you doing here?" He asked. She anxiously ran her hand over her swell before looking at him.
"Do you really want to marry her?" She asked.
"L-"
"No, just tell me. Do you love her?" She asked. Peter shrugged a bit as he sank down onto the chair.
"Yeah." He spoke.
"Peter, do you love me?" Olivia asked. Peter's eyes went wide.
"What?"
"Do you love me? I know this is the worse time to bring this up, to come here on your wedding day and ask your questions like this, but I need to know." She spoke.
"Yeah." He whispered.
"Yeah it's a bad time, or yeah I love you?" She mused. Peter stood up and looked at her. He stepped closer, and she started to feel her heart beat quicker in her chest. Their relationship was so confusing, but they went back to at least talking once a week after deciding on custody. Peter always called to check up on her and the baby was doing, and he loved hearing about how the baby was moving more and seeing the sonogram pictures.
"Leave, Liv." He spoke, and she nodded slowly.
"Okay. Uh, sorry. Forget what I said." She spoke.
---
Olivia decided not to drive home right away. She was in tears as she sat outside the church. She wanted him to have said that he loved her. That he wasn't going to marry Kathryn because he wanted to be with her. But she lost her chance. She shouldn't have given him back the engagement ring over 3 months ago. She should've just stayed with him because then she wouldn't have come here on the day he was getting married to another woman.
Olivia started up her vehicle and was getting ready to pull out when the passenger side door swung open and Peter climbed out.
"Peter?!" She exclaimed, shocked.
"Telling you to leave was a mistake. Marrying Kathryn would've been a mistake. Getting in this car with you and telling you that I love you isn't a mistake." He spoke. He leaned over and kissed Olivia deeply, before smiling.
"I love you, Benson."
"I love you too." She whispered.
