"Peter!" Noah cried as he ran away from a nurse that was watching him. Noah went sprinting to the ADA and when he got close enough, Peter picked him up and held him close.
"Noah, did you call an ambulance for your Momma?" Peter asked as the little boy sniffled.
"Yeah! I was supposed to be sleeping, but I was still playing with my cars. I heard her fall and it was loud. So I ran out to check on her, and she was in the hallway outside of her room. Peter, I'm scared!"
"I know you are, bud. But you did exactly what you needed to do. You got your Momma help, and now the doctors are going to take care of her and the baby." Peter spoke. He knew he should've forced Olivia to go to her doctor's, but he didn't want her to push him away.
"Are you gonna stay with me, Peter?" Noah sniffled, as he rested his head against Peter's shoulder.
"Of course. But I think I should take you home, or call Lucy and have her come get you."
"No! I'm staying here with my Momma and my baby brother or sister!" Noah yelled. Peter rested his head against Noah's and shushed him.
"Don't worry. Okay? Let's find a place where we can sit and you can try and get some sleep."
"Promise me I can stay?"
"I promise."
---
Peter sat in an uncomfortable waiting room chair, Noah sleeping in his arms. Peter didn't move because he didn't want to risk waking the small boy. At nearly 2 in the morning, Amanda showed up with a worried expression on her face.
"Hey, where is she?" Amanda asked.
"She's still in with the doctors. They haven't told us anything." Peter frowned.
"Okay, well what did Noah say? All you did was text me and tell me she was in the hospital, again."
"Well, he was still awake when he heard Liv fall. She fainted so he got her phone and called an ambulance before calling me. I got here and he was with a nurse and Liv was getting worked on." Peter replied. Amanda nodded slowly, as she looked at the brave little boy that slept in Peter's arms.
"Want me to take him?" She asked, and Peter shook his head.
"No. I don't want to make him more upset. He yelled at me and said he had to stay here with his Momma and the baby. So I'm gonna hold him till he wakes up." Peter spoke. Amanda couldn't help but notice how adorable Peter was being in the moment. Olivia had really lucked out with finding a man that not only loved her, and their baby... but also her son.
"I'll go see if I can find out anything."
"Thanks, Rollins."

"So, Ms. Benson is awake and currently on oxygen and on an IV bag of fluids. She explained to us that before she fainted, she was feeling lightheaded and that she was still getting sick." Dr. Manson spoke, as he sat in front of Peter and Amanda. Noah was still sleeping in Peter's arms, so the doctor compromised to let the little man continue to sleep.
"So, what do you think is causing this? Are she and the baby still okay?" Peter asked.
"As of right now, yes. But, we can't rule out HELLP yet. It's a syndrome, almost like preeclampsia and usually related to it. It usually affects those who are over 35, which Ms.Benson is, and it can cause some serious complications. We will keep her here and watch her for a few days. If she doesn't start feeling better, we will proceed with treating her as if she has it. If the baby goes into distress or if she does, we will perform an emergency c-section. But, if we have to do that, chances are that the baby won't make it." Dr. Manson spoke. Peter felt tears well in his eyes.
Not only would he be completely destroyed by the lose of the baby, but he knew Olivia would never forgive herself.
"Can I see her?" Peter asked.
"I'll go see if she wants visitors. She might want to see her son first, honestly. She was so scared about where he was because she was home alone with him."
"I know. I should've been there with them since she wasn't feeling good all day." Peter frowned.
"I'll go check on her, and if says she wants visitors, all three of you can come back."
---
Amanda and Noah went in before Peter did. He was nervous and needed some time to get himself to calm down a bit before seeing Olivia.
"I'm so sorry, Noah. I never should've scared you like that." Olivia breathed, as she cuddled Noah close.
"Momma, I called 911, just like you told me too." He smiled, and Olivia nodded, proudly.
"You did great, baby boy. Thank you for getting me help." Olivia breathed. She looked at Amanda and swallowed hard.
"And it was the right thing to call Aunt Amanda to come to be with you," Olivia whispered.
"He didn't call me, Liv," Amanda spoke, as she sank down into a chair and folded Noah's coat, before placing it on her lap.
"Noah?" Olivia asked.
"I called Peter, Momma. Was that right to do?" Noah asked, and Olivia nodded as tears welled in her eyes. She kissed his curls before nodding.
"It was. Thank you, honey. Now, I think you and Aunt Amanda should go and get some sleep. I'll be okay." Olivia spoke.
"Mom-"
"Honey, you don't have to go to school today. You have had a rough night. So, Amanda, would you mind calling Lucy and having her watch him today?"
"Yeah, of course. I can do that."
"Good, well, I love you baby. Thanks for being so brave."
"I love you too, Momma."
---
Amanda and Noah left, and Peter took his chance. He quietly walked into Olivia's room and made eye contact with her as soon as he walked in.
"I should've listened to you, Peter. I'm stubborn, and I don't blame you for being angry at me. Next time, whenever I don't feel good, I'll make sure that I go to the doctors. Okay?" Olivia breathed.
"You better. And I'm going to make sure. I'm moving in, or you are moving in with me. Either way, I'm not leaving your side. Do you hear me?" Peter spoke. Olivia smiled a bit, as she grew amused by his sudden demands.
"Yeah, I heard you. Did you think that up while you were waiting?"
"Yeah, I did. And I mean it, Liv."
"I know you do. Just come here." She smiled. Peter walked over to her and leaned down and kissed her gently. He ran his fingers over her cheek as he leaned back.
"Don't scare me again, Liv. Never."
"I'll try not to. This will be the last time I'm hospitalized before the baby is born... no more sickness and getting rushed to the hospital."
