Jungkook and Taehyung were soulmates; bond unbreakable and hearts intertwined. That was until Jungkook chose his dream over their love.
Or the one where Jungkook leaves Taehyung behind to become an idol, but karma is a bitch, you know?

Jungkook stared at his reflection in the mirror, feeling satisfied with his first outfit of the night. He could see the rest of BTS ensemble getting ready and he couldn't help but detect the same nervousness engulfing him reflected on their faces.
Tonight was very important.
"Hey, you," Hoseok joined him, wrapping an arm around his shoulder.
Jungkook offered him a smile and checked his appearance again.
"Ready to go onstage?" Hoseok watched them through the mirror as well.
Jungkook shrugged. "You know I'm always ready."
Hoseok chuckled. "It's what I love about you," he clapped him on the shoulder. "Our golden maknae."
Jungkook felt proud of himself. The fans were always too crazy for him, but the group was releasing their new album tonight, performing it live, and there was an excitement, a tension in the air he couldn't deny.
"You're amazing as well, hyung," He felt that the rapper needed to hear some encouraging words.
Hoseok beamed and drew him into a brief hug before he walked away. Jungkook took one last look at his reflection before he followed him.
He found Namjoon, Yoongi and Seokjin already waiting at the end of the stairs. They looked too good to be true. It was their big night. The security guard nodded at them while they grabbed their microphones and stepped onto the stage. The fans' reaction was deafening. Jungkook tuned the screams out and focused on delivering an unforgettable performance, his body on auto-pilot.
There were thousands of people clapping and singing out their names. Jungkook felt like a God under the spotlight. This was what he was born to do.
When it was the turn of his solo track, Jungkook poured his soul into singing. The song was special to him, spoke of his struggle to belong after so much he had been through.
His body moved along the music, the words coming out in a daze. He felt under a spell. He divorced his mind from the lyrics as he danced, letting himself go.
It was one fucking amazing show and the rest of songs that followed was no exception.

"Cheers," The boys toasted to their success after reading the reviews about both their comeback show and new album.
It had been three days already, but the praise hadn't stopped coming. The group woke up to endless notifications of congratulations from media outlets and fans from all over the world.
"One more," Namjoon popped the cork of another champagne bottle, causing the drink of foam to come out and spurt all over the floor.
"Yesssss," Seokjin yelled while Hoseok laughed before he tilted his head back when Namjoon poured the champagne all over his face. Jungkook flinched away when the liquid trickled down his shoulder.
"Your turn, Guk,"
Jungkook chuckled and tilted his head back. "Hurry up,"
Namjoon cackled when the champagne dribbled down Jungkook's jaw, laughing as the bubbles tickled his nose.
"Fuck you," Yoongi complained when Namjoon poured the liquid on his head. He was minding his business in the corner of the room, going through their twitter when he was assaulted.
