aeterisks, aetoms
When Taehyung is given the opportunity to have world-famous model, Jeon Jeongguk, model his designs, he finally sees his dreams becoming a reality. What he doesn't expect is for Jeongguk to steal his heart, taking it to the other side of the world with him.
~~
Taehyung has always been someone to dream big. Ever since he was a kid, he has always worked as hard as he could with big aspirations in mind, trying his best to reach them. He was always aware that fashion is a very complicated industry to break into, but that didn't stop him from picking it as his major when the time to start university came around. He has a dream, and dreams exist to be accomplished.
Now, Taehyung is twenty-four, he already has his degree and a Masters and he's still... working on it. Taehyung designs now. The first part of what he has always wanted is his already. What he needs now is a chance to make it, a chance to show the world the uniqueness that he and his brand offer and that they have something that distinguishes them from the rest. Taehyung needs a chance to be able to do this for a really long time; in other words, he needs success, so he doesn't have to give up on this half-accomplished dream.
And to be able to do this, to be able to achieve all of these things, he needs eyes on him. He needs people with their eyes set on him and his designs. What he's currently trying to do is get a job at an already established brand before venturing into his own. But in order to do that, he needs something... impressive in his portfolio. Taehyung wants eyes on him; the more eyes, the better.
He's at his apartment, trying to read a magazine to keep himself busy for a while. Nothing seems to catch his attention—not the fashion articles nor the gossip ones, and much less the lifestyle advice. But then, he gets to the advertisement pages. And he sees Jeongguk.
Jeon Jeongguk is twenty-two, and for only being two years younger than Taehyung, he's already made a name for himself in the fashion industry. The difference between them is that, while Taehyung is an aspiring fashion designer, Jeongguk is a renowned model. Probably one of South Korea's top male models, Taehyung would say. On top of that, he's making headlines internationally, too.
This year, he's the face of Calvin Klein. Don't get Taehyung wrong, he has always loved boys, and as someone who's unashamedly gay, he has always loved half-naked boys. Despite that, there has always been something tacky about Calvin Klein campaigns; all these attractive men with their muscular thighs and abdomens, wearing tight, white underwear that made their, uh, package bulge in the boxers.
In a way, the shots made Taehyung salivate. Because he likes the abs, and the thighs, and the bul—the boys. Taehyung likes the boys. But for some reason it also made him wrinkle his nose because Taehyung has been a firm believer that there are better ways to sell fashion than with sex, a theme all campaigns seem to center around. Even if the clothes you're trying to sell are underwear.
But then Jeongguk came into the picture, of course. And his spreads don't involve any more clothes than last year's—maybe in a couple of them he has jeans on, but the zipper is undone and the boxers are peeking through. That's exactly what happens in this shot; one of his hands is on the waistband of the jeans, the other against his face as he places his thumb against his bottom lip. There's also his expression: he's doing bedroom, half-lidded eyes to the camera, in an attempt to look sultry, sensual, sexy. And the worst part is that he does. He looks stupidly hot, and the whole world is obsessed with him.
Taehyung is obsessed.
He sighs. After this, not only everyone in the fashion world but also the general public are terribly obsessed with Jeongguk. Everything he touches becomes gold, especially so in South Korea, his homeland. People love him, and Taehyung can understand that. Maybe he's a little obsessed, too.
