It had been years since Taehyung had even gone on a date, it brought up too many old memories but even the heartbroken get lonely sometimes.
Sometimes a nagging best friend and a gentle push is all that's needed.
Sometimes it makes the heartbreak even worse.---
Taehyung gripped the Styrofoam cup, the lid popping off and falling onto the table.
"Hey, hey. Careful. You'll spill your coffee at this rate."
"Oh right sure." Taehyung was flustered. Why had he let Jimin convince him to go on this date?
Glancing up, Taehyung could see out of the corner of his eye said friend, who was doing a poor job of hiding a few booths away. He shot Jimin a knowing look, wanting to melt into the floor.
"So, Taehyung, Jimin tells me you bake?"

Glancing up, Taehyung could see out of the corner of his eye said friend, who was doing a poor job of hiding a few booths away. He shot Jimin a knowing look, wanting to melt into the floor.
"So, Taehyung, Jimin tells me you bake?"
Taehyung grabbed the plastic lid off the table and tried to pop it back on. He hummed, more focused on the coffee than the pleasant, friendly man sitting in front of him. "Just a little restaurant downtown."
The man chuckled and took a bite out of his blueberry muffin. "Guess that's why you didn't want anything to eat here. I'm sure you bake better than Starbucks do."
The flirting caught Taehyung off guard, a blush rising to his cheeks. He wasn't actually that much of a snob to turn up his nose at Starbucks muffins, he was just so nervous he couldn't eat. He smiled and opened his mouth to reply before he was interrupted.
"Actually-"
"Mr Jung I'm so sorry to interrupt you on your break but there's an emergency. There's been a gas leak at the building site."
Taehyung half glanced at the man interrupting his date, annoyed. They had just started flirting, Taehyung hadn't even had chance to even start. He knew Jimin was watching them closely, no doubt intrigued by the interruption.
"Jeongguk, really can't this wait?" Hoseoks eyes were wide and shifted towards Taehyung, trying desperately to indicate that he was busy with something. "I'm kind of in the middle of something right now..."
"I'm sorry sir, it really can't wait. The office is going crazy. We need you." The younger man quipped, turning to Taehyung with a frazzled expression. "Hello, sorry to interrupt this business meeting. I'm Jeon Jeongguk, Mr Jung's personal assistant. Please have your assistant get in contact with me and we will reschedule this at the earliest convenience."
He held out his business card to Taehyung while bowing. Dressed in a long sleeve white business shirt with a blood red tie and black slacks that appeared to be a size too small, Jeongguk was hypnotizing. Taehyung could see the panic in his eyes, the gentle flush a tell-tale sign that he had run here with urgency. Taehyungs breath caught in his throat. Their eyes locked for a second before Jeongguk tried to gather Hoseoks briefcase.
"Oh Jeongguk, calm down. I'll give Taehyung a call later." Hoseok was standing, sending Taehyung an apologetic smile. "This, this was fun? Maybe we can talk a bit more next time? I'll call you later."
