Youtuber AU - Jungkook opens love letters that he bought from eBay for a video - turns out they belong to an old friend of his, that he lost touch with after middle school.

----

It was late in the afternoon when he finally got to the post office, minutes before the institution closed up. Jungkook received a very pointed nasty look from the clerk behind the separating glass, probably annoyed that his shift might get prolonged even if it was with mere minutes.

Jungkook sighed in relief, happy that he won't have to postpone his recording schedule yet again since he had been waiting for this package for over two weeks now. And it wasn't his fault he was late, it was Jimin's fault for starting another League game session and he couldn't have just dropped it (of course, he could have, he was just being a brat). He quickly went up to the miffed worker, deciding to get this over with and get the recording on as soon as possible.

Jungkook might be a spoiled child with his friends but in front of very unimpressed people like this dude, his hands may or may not get a little sweaty.

"U-um hi, I got an email that my, um, package with- letters was here?"

After a few seconds of complete stillness, the clerk released another annoyed sigh with an evident eye roll.

"Am I supposed to know who you are?"

Jungkook's cheeks colored as he stumbled over the syllables of his name. Damn his malfunctioning brain.

"Jeon Jungkook, sir."

The postman nodded as he found Jungkook's name on the clipboard before him, dragging his chewed up pen agonizingly slow down the paper and then stood up from the squeaky chair to search for his parcel. Jungkook could only see his back as the man rummaged around some boxes on the shelf behind the cubicles of the office.

Jungkook looked around, noticing the crack on the ceiling and the incredibly humid and at the same time still atmosphere, as well as the once white blinds, now crooked and tinted with a little bit of yellow here and there.

He was thankful that he'd passed by job offers that would have led him to an office, similar to this stuffy room, and instead chose to invest time and effort to develop his film and vlog making hobby, which along with his singing, turned into quite the profitable and enjoyable carrier.

Though coming up with interesting and original content might be officially one of the hardest things he would have to encounter in life - Youtube was an enormous platform and the videos were more often than not repetitive since everyone jumped on the trend, creating overall the same type of videos. He was lucky he had his voice and his not so shitty personality to keep his head above the water.

And even then, he had to come to terms that jumping on the trend sometimes wasn't bad. It was actually the reason he was here, receiving a parcel from eBay that he'd record reviewing at home. Hopefully, he won't get scammed and a few nice love letters would greet him from inside the parcel.

Hoseok was the one who recommended it, since the guy bawled his eyes out as he read a touching love story, shown through letters that two lovebirds from the 1930s exchanged, no shame whatsoever as he sobbed in front of the camera, smudging the well-preserved handwriting with his tears and then crying some more because of that.

However, since Jungkook didn't want to literally rip-off his friend's video, he spent an embarrassing amount of time searching for recent love letters, written at least in the last decade since he found it quite romantic as well - considering nowadays most love stories transpired digitally and consisted of texts with poor grammar and badly used memes.
