Playing a prank on your soulmates who have been trying to play matchmaker is probably not the best of ideas. Or -

Summer is hot. Like really hot, especially when the AC in his shared dorm with Taehyung decides that it's a good idea to be pissy and break down during the hottest month of the year.
"I swear, if the maintenance doesn't come like right now, I'm going to die of heat stroke." Taehyung complains dramatically as he sits down in front of the open window that overlooks the weeds of grass that only ever got a trim job like once a year. He has his mouth wide open like he's starved of air.
Jeongguk can honestly relate. The sweat that's starting to drip down his neck starts to become uncomfortable. His white shirt sticks to his skin like a second skin. He had called the building maintenance multiple times and the promise of getting their AC fixed ASAP is nothing but an empty one. The fan that hangs on the ceiling is fucking useless, twirling on the ceiling as slow as a ballerina in a music box.
"You won't die of heat stroke if you just drink water." Jeongguk comments, staring at the bottle of cheap beer in Taehyung's hold. Honestly, who the fuck even drinks beer in this unbearably hot weather in the middle of the afternoon. That's right, Kim Taehyung.
"Screw me, I'm bored. I have nothing to do on the weekends because my broke ass can't afford to do anything fun but drink cheap beer and annoy the living daylights out of you."
Jeongguk narrows his eyes on Taehyung, pausing the game that he's playing on his laptop. "If this is your definition of fun, then it's shit."
"Please, as if you have anything better to suggest." Taehyung gives Jeongguk a pointed look, his eyebrow quirked in question. Like Jeongguk, Taehyung barely goes home for the summer. Being the broke college kids that they are, they decide to work themselves to death to earn what little money that could help with their crippling student debt.
"You can clean our room for a start." Taehyung throws the nearest throw pillow at Jeongguk.
"As if the mess is only mine."
"Excuse you, you're the one who forgot to throw away that leftover pizza and kept it under your bed for like a month."
"And you're too used to the rotten smell to even realize there's rotten pizza in this dumpster of a room."
Jeongguk rolls his eyes. "I bet there's like mice and cockroaches under your bed."
"Speak for yourself," Taehyung chugs down the last drop of his beer then proceeds to throw the bottle under his bed. Jeongguk scoffs, that action speaks for itself. "I bet there's like an entire insect under your goddamn bed."
Jeongguk ignores Taehyung, proceeding to play his game. Taehyung hums a mindless tune under his breath, the trickle of air that comes in through the open window doesn't do much to stave the heat off.
Taehyung has his chin propped on the windowsill and it's quiet for a moment before he heaves a sigh that's too loud. Jeongguk knows that sound; it's a sound of nothing but trouble. True to his thoughts, Taehyung bounds to his side, tucking his chin on Jeongguk's shoulder. "Jeongguk, gukkie," he whines. "I'm bored."
"Wish I could help," Jeongguk says without feeling, eyes still focused on his computer, his hand maneuvers the mouse, trying to get his character out of a battle scene unscathed.
"Gosh, you're no fun." Taehyung huffs, his breath tickling the side of Jeongguk's neck. Jeongguk ignores him - his fingers going over his keyboard in deft speed - much to Taehyung's annoyance. He knows Taehyung is latching onto his back like a baby koala just to spite him off. Jeongguk misses his shot when Taehyung tickles his side, proceeding to pinch his skin under his merciless thumb and forefinger. "Guk, guk, guk, guk, guk, guk guk-" Jeongguk takes a deep breath, calming himself down, his mind on the game. "Guk, gukkie, guk, my bunny, my rabbit, guk-"
